Matt on the side --------------->>>>
Cynthia
“A Warning,” Amielya gave a throaty laugh, clearly not herself, “Mortem et natura mirantur, Cum advenimus, et vobis judicabitur, Omnes. Regina tremendae maiestatis, et non miserebitur…Diebus vestris numerantur.” [Death and Nature will marvel, when we arrive, and you will be judged, all of you. Queen of tremendous majesty will show you no mercy…your days are numbered.] The voice hissed in all our minds. Slowly I turned to see Avery also on her knees, her hands covering her ears as she rocked back and forth. Painfully I looked up to see Evelyn with her skin a porcelain white, head thrown back as the sudden breeze played with her ebony hair, her arms limp at her side as she was suspended in the air. Her face was twisted in a mask of pain as her canines pressed against her bottom lip, drawing blood.
“Evelyn…please! Remember Julius…” I cried out trying to snap her out of her stupor. Her head snapped down on me, her golden eyes pinning me in my spot on the floor.
“Ahhh Julius Wilbur…nice man, no? Too bad really, that he had to die so painfully…maybe he should have some company.” The voice purred again, ripping a whimper out of Avery. Evelyn turned her attention to Avery with a twisted smile.
“Aw look at that. Aren’t you the sweetest looking thing, so fragil and innocent; it’s almost a pity, really.” Evelyn made her way to Avery, her blackened claws brushing against her face. Avery looked up with a harsh glare in place, her face void of all emotion, but anger.
Admirable, I thought as I watched her snarl at Evelyn. Stupid, but admirable.
“Go ahead, kill me, but that will get you no closer to what you want.” Avery growled hotly. Evelyn looked taken aback, her eyes shifting from the gold to green, before going back to gold…a gold much duller than before.
“Eve-” I started, but was interrupted by the urgent pounding at the door. The three of us quickly turned to the door.
“Avery! What the hell is going on! AVA!” Someone yelled from the other side, growling in frustration as he tried to turn the door knob. A groan suddenly turned our attention back to Evelyn, who was now on the floor, her black hair covering her face, her claws retracted. Slowly I crawled over to her side and rolled her over, looking at her face. Her canines were gone and her skin was back to her honey olive color.
“Hey…Eva? Are you alright?” I asked, giving her cheek a soft slap. Again she groaned, rolling off my lap and on her hands and knees.
“Ya…never better.” She croaked.
Amielya
Pain shot through me as I tried to clear my throat, feeling like I swallowed a box of nails. We will bring many wonders and terrors…with no way for you to stop them. We will have our girls back and you dead…I promise. Alexandria is already with us, in fact, but don’t worry she will be taken good care of. Best say goodbye to Voleta from now…while you still have the chance. The voice hissed, before letting go of the grasp on my mind completely, and with it the smoke and snake also disappeared. Relief flooded through me as the pressure in my head lessened.
A hand landed on my shoulder, drawing my attention to my worried friend hovering over me. I smiled at her as best I could, feeling blood trail from my busted lip and to my chin.
“Damn it! My fucking head hurts like a bitch.” Avery growled, making both me and Cynthia to look at her weird. We were all silent for a second, before laughing…not the kind of laugh that meant something was funny, but the hysterical ‘we just went through hell’ kind of laugh.
“Shit.” I whispered as I sat back on my knees, my bones creaking at the movement, reliving some more of the pressure …though it still felt like there was some invisible weight pushing down on my chest and shoulders, and my head felt like it was about to blow. Pounding at the door, suddenly had me jump in surprise. I looked in Cynthia’s direction to see her gone, the door to the bathroom slightly ajar.
“Right…well, best face the beast.” Avery said, squaring her shoulders as she attempted to fix her blonde hair and pat her flushed cheeks, as if to insure herself she was not crying. Turning to me, she looked questioning; slowly I nodded as I gingerly touched my lips, earning a slap from Cynthia. She had a wet cloth in her hand as she kneeled in front of me, taking hold of my chin and cleaning my wounded lip.

My wolf growled, dangerously on the edge as I paced the hallway of the locked door.
“That’s it! Kick the damn door down!” I growled as my beta, Matt, pounded, yelling for the girls inside to open up. It clearly wasn’t working and my wolf was getting antsy.
“So sorry about that.” A woman’s voice said pulling attention to the doorway. She was the one who had called herself Avery from earlier, her blonde hair looking slightly winded. Her shoulders were tense and her once bright hazel eyes were now a dull brown. “May I help you?” She asked smiling, though it came across as more of a grimace. I pushed myself past Matt before standing right in front of her and the slightly ajar door.
“Just worried. You left in a hurry and the door was locked.” I responded, leaning to the side to try to get a view inside. Sighing, Avery pushed the door opened, allowing us a view of the room. The curtains were half ripped from the rod, the bed covers on the floor and a lamp lying on its side. If the room was more furnished it would have looked like a tornado hit.
“What the hell happened? Are you all okay?” Matt asked as I continued to stare inside the room. Two other women sat just behind the bed, the one with flaming red hair consoling the other. The other woman had long black hair that covered her face like a curtain; her body slummed, looking fragile as she leaned into the bed’s side.
“Hey are you guys okay?” I asked them, interrupting whatever Avery had started to say. The black haired girl looked up sharply, her bright moss green eyes looking startled and slightly disoriented. She nodded, biting her lip…which for some reason had my wolf growling…and it wasn’t in anger.
“Ya everything is fine. Thank you for asking.” The red head answered, as the other dropped her head once more, her hair covering her beautiful eyes from view once more.
“I’m sorry to cut this short, but Amielya just needs some time alone.” Avery said, pulling my attention back to her.
Amielya my wolf whispered to me…beautiful.
“Aunty! Where is mama?” Voleta cried rushing to Avery. Avery knelt to her level giving her a tight hug before pushing her inside. The young girl ran straight into the arms of Amielya, shocking both me and my wolf. Slowly Avery closed the door shut, leaving me to stare at it in confusion, anger and something that felt close to jealousy.
She has a child?! With who!? My wolf growled.
Amielya
“Mama! Are you okay? What happened?” Voleta cried into my shoulder as I clung to her for dear life, my own tears falling. I rocked her in my arms as I sat down on the bed, wrapping the silk covers around us both.
“It’s alright baby. I’m fine…we’re fine.” I whispered watching silently as Cynthia took a seat beside me and Avery took Daniel’s old chair in the corner. My wolf whimpered in hurt, having me look down in silent shame. I felt Cyn’s hand on my shoulder, but I shrugged it off.
“I owe you answers Avery.” I said softly, looking back up at her burning hazel eyes.
“Ya you do.” She growled. Sighing I started from the very beginning.
“It started when I was four…”
