Chapter 9

I am really sorry for the slow uploads...I am currently speaking with a publisher about another novel of mine that will be published in the future...

I will have a few chapters from the story uploaded on Wattpad for you guys to read, but for now i am sorry for the long waits and I hope you continue to read as I write (and load :D)

“What do you mean you can’t reach her?”  Cyn hissed, pacing the suite assigned to the Alpha of the Silvermoon that they allowed the human to use until his arrival.  It would have been quite amusing that they thought me to be male, but my wolf was on edge with worry for Alexandria.  Voleta wrapped her arms around me and buried her head into my shoulder, tears soaking my shirt.

“I-I can’t…it hurts.”  She sobbed her small frame shaking as she suppressed a shout of pain.  Cyn instantly stopped pacing, her sharp blue eyes softening as she rushed to Voleta’s side.  She rubbed her back gently as I rocked her in my lap humming the old lullaby I used to always sing to her and her sister.

“It’s okay sweetie, we will find her…and when we do I will kill those rouges.”  Cyn soothed her; anger and determination ringing clear in her voice, just like her love for the girl.  Voleta peeked at her through a curtain of dark auburn almost black hair, her vibrant green eyes shining with tears.

“You promise?”

“Yes.  I swear on Daniel’s life that we will find her.”  Cyn replied offering Voleta a small smile.  Daniel glared at Cyn, but it instantly disappeared when he heard Voleta laugh.  Everyone froze for a second before smiling at the angel in my lap.  She hadn’t so much as crake a smile since Alexandria was taken.

Alpha!  A voice shouted in my mind in panic.

Avery?  I replied confused.  I tightened my hold on Voleta, letting my head rest against her silky hair.

The Alpha of the Evergreen pack is here.  She quickly explained, causing me to stiffen.  I still haven’t found a proper way to tell my brother and father about my position, and if the young Alpha is here he will be demanding audience with the Silvermoon Alpha…and soon.

“Daniel, you need to go talk to the Alpha with Avery.  Tell him you just got off the phone with your Alpha, who humbly apologizes for not being here in person.  Something had come up, but it should be resolved quickly.  Then tell him of Alexandria.”  I growled turning to Daniel, who was keeping to himself in the corner of the room.  His head jerked up at my command, his eyes meeting mine before bolting up and running out.  The stress of a kidnapped daughter, not being able to do anything and the Evergreen Alpha had brought her wolf dangerously close to the surface, Voleta being the only barrier, as my eyes shifted between forest green and gold.

“Mommy, please calm down.”  Voleta whispered, her big green eyes staring up at me.

“Yeah mommy.”  Cyn chimmed in, still kneeling on the floor as she grinned cheekily.  I just shook my head at them as I tuned in to Avery.

“Hello sir.”  I greeted the man standing in front of me, his hair covered by a grey hoody and eyes hidden in shadow.
