Chapter 1

“Evelyn!!!”  Cynthia shouted as I pull on my black combat boots.

“WHAT!” I shout back at her, smirking slightly, knowing she’s getting pissed that we are gunna be late.

“GET YOUR DAMN FAT ASS DOWN HERE” she growled viciously.  I chuckle under my breath, she acts so much like a werewolf I’m surprised she isn’t one.  Guess she hangs with me too much…13 years to be specific.  I grab my black leather jacket and gun off my night stand and jog down stairs.  I froze at the bottom of the stairs when I caught sight of Cynthia.  She was wearing white jeans, a black and green Asking Alexandria shirt and black and green converse, but what really stopped me short was her hair.  It was a fiery red, cascading down to her shoulder blades and glowing like flames.00

Is she really that pissed with us? My wolf whimpered in my head.

No…I think I whispered back and gave Cyn a questioning look.  She instantly relaxed and sighed, her shoulders slumming slightly.

“Sorry, just kinda nervous” she said sighing again.  I smile and hug her.

“Why are you nervous, they aren’t your long lost family.” I laughed lightly.  She just looked at me pointedly.  Giving her a quick hug I throw on my leather jacket and slip my gun in the back of my jeans.

“Come on lets go, I’m sure Avery is waiting” I say rushing out the door with my motorcycle keys.

“Hey, wait up!”  Cyn called after me as she locked the front door.

“‘Bout time ya show up” Avery exclaimed as she jumped in the passenger seat of Cyn’s 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible.  Ya we have some expensive taste, but we can afford it so we’re all good.

“Ev’s fault!”  Cyn said quickly, pointing at me like a 5 year old.  I rolled my eyes at her.

“It takes time to look this good” I said motioning at myself, before slipping on my helmet and revving my bike to life.  It was a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja ZX 6R and my baby. :)

“Aaaaaand off we go” Cyn grumbled as she started up her car and taking off after me.

“A human?  Are you sure that’s wise sir?”  Alpha Raymond asked incredulously.

“Alpha, they will be in your territory and that is final!  She may be human, but she belongs to a pack…a pack that you need!  She may not know much of our world, but I guess that’s why she will house with you and your pack.”  Elder Jenson said calmly.  He hated lying to anyone, but he had to, for Amielya…for her brother and father.  She needs to be the one to tell them, no matter how much she didn’t want to.

“I understand sir, but what of the Alpha and Beta?  Are they to be housed in the pack house also?”  The Alpha questioned.  Elder Jenson growled quietly.  Amielya IS the alpha!  What the hell does he say now…he can’t lie, not again, but he can’t tell Raymond that the Alpha is the witch tortured, magic possessing wolf; who is scented as a human, but really is the most powerful Alpha known to all werewolves.  Oh and whose father and brother just so happen to be in his pack as the elder beta and the new beta.  Yeah…no.

“Yes, both the Alpha and Beta will be housing with your pack until the rest move in…then they can move out if they so please to.  Now if there are no more questions, I must go.  Until next time Alpha Raymond.”  Elder Jenson said quickly, barely waiting for a reply before hanging up.  Not bad, but now he has to call Alpha Amielya…he sighed, this is not gunna be fun.

“What?”  I answered my phone.

We had stopped at a gas station for, well, gas…and snacks, of course.  After I had put gas in my bike, I had come in to pay for Cyn and Avery as they continued arguing and yelling at each other over who should go in and pay, since they didn’t wanna use their credit card like I did.  But when I walked in there was nobody there.  So now I’m sitting on the counter, drinking a slushy waiting, when my phone began ringing.

“Alpha Amielya–” the voice started to speak, before I cut them off.

“Jenson, no need for formalities.” I sighed.  He knows how much I hate formalities and titles, yet he still calls me Alpha.  He laughed nervously…

Hmm something is definitely wrong my wolf warned me.

“Amielya are you at the pack house yet?” he asked

“Not yet, about 5 minutes away.  Why?”  I asked taking another sip of my icy drink, as I crossed my legs causally.

“Who has accompanied you?” he asked, ignoring my question.

“Cyn and Avery.  Jenson, WHY?”  I asked again getting frustrated.

“The Alpha in the area doesn’t know you are–” he started, but I cut him off.

“YOU DIDN’T TELL HIM?!  JENSON!!  DO YOU REALIZE HOW GODDAMNED DANGEROUS THAT IS?!?”  I snarled into the phone.

“Alpha Amielya Evelyn Grey!  Do not forget who is the elder here, I know you may not agree with my chose, but–” Jenson said calmly but I interrupted again.

“NOT AGREE?!  I don’t just disagree Elder!!  Do you realize that you are putting the Alpha and his pack in grave danger by not warning him of WHO is Alpha and of her history?!”  I hissed viciously into the phone.

Sweetie, you need to calm down my wolf whispered

CALM DOWN?! HE”S ENDANGERING MY FAMILY AND THEIR PACK DAMN IT!!!!! I growl.

Nooooo he’s giving you an opportunity to tell your father and brother of what happened…on your own accord she said softly.

“—and Raymond would have told them before you could…he would see it as his duty.”  Jenson continued on.

“Tell him what?  That I’m Alpha!  Like my father cares, he’s the one to take my brother away and run off with a fucking--”  I growled again,  his duty my ass…any calm my wolf provided vanishing as I thought of how my father left my mother alone, not giving a shit if she died trying to raise me alone, in the middle of fucking nowhere.

“Amielya” Jenson warned obviously getting more and more pissed.

“Excuse me, can I help you?” asked a voice from behind me.  I looked over my shoulder as I take a swing at my almost forgotten slushy.

Standing there was a guy of about 6’1 with light brown hair that brushed against his forehead and dark ocean blue eyes.  He was clearly packed and from the smell of it definitely a werewolf…maybe the gamma <third in command> from the sense of power rolling off him.  He smirked as I sat there looking at him.

Cocky…definitely not an attractive trait for him I thought as I smirked right back, before turning back around.

“Look Jenson, I have to go, I’ll talk to you later…count on it.”  I said harshly, still pretty pissed off that he kept the Alpha in the dark about me.

“Amielya Eve—“he started to say, but I just hung up.

“Hi” I say as I turn all the way around to face him, my legs dangling off the end of the counter facing him.

“Well hello, is there something specific you need?”  He asked wagging his eyebrows suggestively.

“Hmm, there may be this one thing.” I say smirking.  He smiled and came to stand in-between my legs, placing his hands on my knees.  Holding in my laughter I causally place my hands on his shoulders, as he leaned in.  As he got closer I pulled the back of his shirt and pour my slushy down his shirt.

“Oops” I said sweetly as I hopped off the counter placed a 20 next to the register and walked out the door, as he danced around pulling the back off his shirt away from him.
