“Bye mom. I’m gonna miss you.” I said hugging my mom the next day, two hours before my plane took off.

“I’m gonna miss you too honey.” She said hugging me back.

Tears were threatening to start flowing down my cheeks and I was trying to hold them back but I didn’t quite succeed. We broke apart and mom realized I was crying.

“Why are you crying sweetheart?? You’re gonna see me again in two weeks.” Mom said wiping my tears.

If only she you knew. I thought.

“I know mom, its just that I love you so much and im gonna miss you.”

“I’ll call you everyday. Don’t worry.” Mom replied.

I heard an impatient sigh from behind me. It was Ari. I turned around and saw the frustrated look on her face. I knew how much she hated tears. It made her feel uncomfortable to see someone else crying. I smiled a little.

“Bye mom.” I hugged her one last time and then walked out with Ari.

“How long were you going to take?” Ari asked me as soon as we were out the door.

“Ari, you know how much I love her. I have no idea when im going to see her again.” I said wiping my tears.

“Yea, whatever.  Lets just get to the airport.” She said getting in my car; which was practically hers now. I got in beside her.

“Actually, I was thinking maybe we could stop by the boys’ house since its on the way.” I said.

“Lauren do you wanna miss your plane?” she asked, exasperated.

“No, but I cant leave without even saying goodbye to them.”

“Fine.” She muttered.

“Why are you in a hurry to get rid of me?” I asked her, trying to look hurt.

Her expression quickly changed and she said, “Of course not, it’s just that I don’t want you to miss your flight since the next one isn’t for a week.

“Riiiiiiiight.” I teased.

“Fine then, I’ll make you plane miss your plane on purpose. Let’s see what you say about that.” She challenged me.

“This is the last stop, I promise.” I promised her as their house came into view.

She stopped the car and I got out.

“Aren’t you coming.” I asked her when she didn’t get out.

“No, I’ll wait for you here.” She said firmly.

“Ok.” I said, walked towards the front door and rang the bell. When no one answered I rang it again.

“Coming.” I heard someone shout from inside. It sounded like Niall but when the door opened Louis was the one standing there. He looked awful, like he hadn’t slept for days and he hadn’t shaved too. I looked into his eyes and for a moment I wanted to tell him everything. How much I loved him. How I couldn’t live without him and that I was pregnant with his baby.

I opened my mouth but before I could say anything he started talking, “What are you doing here?”

I closed my mouth and looked down. He was still mad at me even though I should be the one who should have any right to be mad.

“Hey Lauren. What’s up? Come in.” I looked up. It was Niall, he was standing beside Louis. He had clearly just arrived.

“I don’t think I’m welcome.” I said, staring pointedly at Louis. He glared at me. I flinched away from his gaze. Just the anger in his eyes was a knife in my heart.
