"Can I talk to you for a moment, Lauren? ALONE."

I gulped and twisted my face into a little grimace.

Liam raised one eyebrow, lowered his face and practically glared at me. "Huh?"

"S-sure, Liam," I said.

He nodded with satisfaction. "I thought so," he said. Then he gripped my arm and started pulling me towards his room.

Then, when he noticed the I'm-totally-confused look on Louis' face, he said "Lauren and i just need to talk about something important."

Louis shrugged. "You guys go ahead. Lily and I will play temple run."

She cheered.

"So?" I said once we were inside, trying to pretend I had no idea about what he was just going to say.

"So, Lauren?" Liam pulled a face. "You tell me so."

"So Lily is beautiful isn't she?" I blurted out. Instantly his face started turning red and i regretted saying whatever i thought of first.

"Yeah she is," said Liam.

There was an eerie silence. I expected him to burst out at me with accusations. But he did'nt.

"Do you like playing games Lauren?" he asked suddenly.

I jumped a little, startled by this puncture of the quietness in the room.

"Umm, yeah..." i trailed off not getting what he was trying to say.

"Good." He sat down on his bed and gestured towards the little sofa in front of it. I sat down.

As soon as my butt landed on the cushion-y sofa, he said "You and I are playing 21 questions Lauren."

"Awesome," he said. "So here's question one: Whose daughter is Lily?"

"Mine."

"I mean, who is her dad?"

"I dont know," I said steadily, staring into his brown eyes.

"Dont lie to me Lauren. You know I know it's Louis."

I could then distinctly feel the colour engorging my cheeks.

"No it's not," I insisted stressing on each frigging syllable.

"You know Lauren, until today I thought you were a sensible person who never lied and when she did lie, she had a good reason, and was justified in lying and knew how to lie."

I shrugged.

Liam went on.

"Do you even realise how stupid it is to not tell her own dad he has a daughter? And that daughter is calling him Uncle Louis. Uncle Louis when it should be Dad! Jesus Christ, Lauren! What the hell is wrong with you?"

He was careful to keep his voice low but he put stress on his words and I knew he'd be threatening me soon.

I surveyed my nails. They were painted black with white stripes. Ari had done them the day before.

"Lauren!?" he said springing up.

"What?"

"What do you have to say in your defence?"

I got up shakily, trying not to quiver under his i-am-the-principal-of-this-school-and-you-just-got-kicked-out-of-class expression.

"Liam, I dont have time for this, ok? I never told him because he cheated on me. Because he did not give two shits about me and i was not going to be a burden on some guy just because i was pregnant!"

Liam's gaze didnt soften. I was surprised. He was supposed to feel my pain. He usually did.

"So youre never going to tell him?" he asked. "Never?"

"Never."

He shrugged and headed for the door.

"Then i'll have to do the honours."

And he sprang out of the room before i could stop him. (A/N: Written by my best friend till here. I don't care what you say, @GreenAppleSkittles. You deserve the credit)

No. This can't be happening. I ran after him.

"Liam. NO!" I shouted.

He ignored me and kept on moving. I was just behind him. He stopped moving when he reached the living room. Louis wasn't there. I sighed in relief.

Liam looked around, searching for him.

"Louis." He called.

No answer. Lily wasn't here either. He must've taken Lily with him.

"Liam please. Listen to me. You can't tell him."

He turned around and looked at me. "Lauren. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't tell him!" He exclaimed.

"Because...because...." I stuttered. "Liam it will ruin his career. Tell me what would the world say if they heard that he had made a girl pregnant and didn't even know he had a daughter."

"Lauren. Are you serious. This involves his daughter. His own daughter for god's sake. Who cares what the world would say. It's more important to tell him."

"No. I can't. I can't. Please Liam. You have to see it from my point of view. I just can't tell him."

"Why not?"

"Liam. Even if I did tell him it wouldn't really do me any good. What's the point. He has a girlfriend. I know he wouldn't want me to be the mother of his kid."

"Why are you so blind?" He asked frustrated.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

He stared into my eyes for a while. It looked like he was searching for something, trying to figure out what I was thinking.

"Lauren. Eleanor is just a rebound. He still loves you." He said after a while of staring

I was shocked but I didn't believe him. "No he doesn't. He loves Eleanor. I can see it. And Eleanor loves him too." I paused. "And no matter what he did to me....... I...... I know that he wouldn't ever....errr.....use a girl." I said, not making eye contact with him.

He sighed. "Lauren, he believes he loves her. He tries to convince himself he loves her but he doesn't and he isn't using her. I think Louis is just a rebound for her too."

"What?"

"Both of them are trying to convince themselves that they love each other but they don't Lauren. I've been around those two for a long time and I can tell."

"I don't believe your story and even if it were true then it still doesn't mean that he loves me. He cheated on me Liam. I can't just ignore that."

"Do you still love him?" He asked suddenly.

"What? No!" I immediately denied.

"Don't lie to me Lauren."

"But I'm not lying." I said.

He just shook his head.

"You have to tell him."

"I'm sorry Liam. I can't. I just can't."

"You.........."

He was cut off by Louis entering the living room. Lily was in his arms. "Hey guys. So did you finish talking?"

"Yep." I answered before Liam could say anything.

Liam looked at me and whispered. "This conversation is not finished."

I looked at Louis. He hadn't heard.

What will it take to convince Liam?
