I looked around the airport. I still couldn’t find Ross. Aunt Amelia had told me he would be there to pick me up. I walked out of the airport. It was very dark. I couldn’t see anything. Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder and I jumped.

“Don’t turn around and keep walking.” Someone said in a very deep voice behind me. I turned around.

“You aren’t fooling me Ross.” I said and punched him playfully on the shoulder.

He took my duffel bag from me. “This way.” he led me to his car.

“You got your license?” I asked him.

“Yep, I got it this month and mom even gave me the money to buy this sweetheart.” He said proudly, gesturing towards his car. It was a black …….. Okay I won’t pretend I know about cars because I don’t. It was black and shiny and I could tell it was expensive.

He put my bags in the back seats and I climbed onto the front seat beside him.

We made small talk on the way to his house. He stopped the car, 10 minutes later, in front of his house. I got out and pulled out my bags.

“Here, take this.” Ross said and threw me a key through the car window. “It’s the house key, mom’s probably sleeping and I have to go. I’ll see you in the morning. Bye.” He said and drove away.

I walked to the front door and opened it with the key. It was really dark inside the house. I closed the door and then switched on the lights. Someone jumped from behind the couch and I screamed. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw it was only Aunt Amelia.

“Got, Amelia, you scared the crap out of me.” I said. I called her Amelia because she said it made her feel old if someone called her Aunt. She was in her pajamas and has started laughing as soon as I had screamed. I looked at her. She hadn’t changed a bit in the last two years. She still had the most perfect figure that any woman her age would envy. Her face still made her look 24 or something instead of 34.

“I scared you.” She said between her giggles.

“Very funny, Amelia.” I said, sarcastically.

“The look on your face when I jumped out. Hilarious.” She started laughing again.

“Are you sure you’re thirty four aunty?” I teased.

“Don’t say that. I don’t like to hear my age.” She said getting serious at once.

“I know that’s why I said it.”

“Aren’t you sleepy?” she asked changing the topic.

“Yes I guess I am.” I yawned, realizing just how sleepy I was.

“Okay, then. Hand me your bag. I’ll take it upstairs.” I handed her my bag and climbed the stairs with her, carrying my suitcase. We reached the guest room, I threw my bag on the floor and jumped on the bad. “I missed this place.” I said.”

“And not me?” Aunt Amelia asked.

“No, I didn’t miss you. Why would i?”

She narrowed her eyes.

“I was kidding.” I said.

“I know.”

“I’m going to sleep. Goodnight.”

“’Night.” She said and switched off the lights and left.

I lied down and closed my eyes. Louis’ face was flashing through my mind. I tried blocking the images out but didn’t succeed and gave up. I drifted off to sleep thinking about him.
