Chapter 5
When my apartment door swung open my eyes stared in fury. My teeth grinded together at the hideous thing I called family in my well kept apartment. Or should I say my now tainted apartment. Seth sat over at the couch looking guilty. He slid down the couch trying to avoid eye contact with me. Daphne’s back was facing me at the couch she was sitting at. My left eye twitched. How dare Seth let Daphne enter? I knew I should have put that ‘no whore’ sign on. Demon was behind me. Seth swung his head toward Demon quickly as he realized that he was here.
“So you’ve done it,” Seth refers to seeing Demon here.
“So you’ve done it,” I referred to Daphne. Daphne tosses her pretty head of hers to me. Her brown hair had magically grown light blond highlights. She looked skinny as hell and her skin was all caked up tanned.
“Who are you...?” She asked looking at me strangely. Was she talking about Demon behind me? I roll my eyes.
“That’s demon, I mean Damon,” I explain. Demon pushes me over at the shoulder and harder then he probably attended to.
“No I know him, who doesn’t know him? Who are you?” She asked me.
“Yo dumb bimbo prostitute, your somehow related to me,” I reminded her.
“Lexis wouldn’t be caught dead wearing those heels and sure in hell wouldn’t even wear a dress like that...even if it has leggings under,” She looked up and down at me. Yea, I covered up. I wore black leggings under. The heels were killing me. Why am I wearing it? I take them off.
“For desperate times you need to go to desperate measures. Now why the hell is this bitch doing in my apartment!? Get the hell off my property!” I pointed out to the door extremely upset. Damon pushed me over at the shoulder again.
“Would you STOP doing that?” I asked frustrated.
“You need to chill,” He says nodding like a little kid.
“Fuck you,” I was stuck babysitting over sized children.
“I’d love to,” Demon smiled sheepishly. His eyes were looking dead and asleep. He doesn’t have a clue on what’s going on. Seth growled over at Demon and made his way toward me. Seth really wasn’t the jealous type and not the defending type either...unless it’s for himself.
“Keep away from her,” Seth warned and then asked me “Is he drunk?”
“Yup,” I popped and then glare at him “I suspect you are also drunk considering you let in one of the most hated people in my life into my apartment!” Seth made a face and then just smiled at me sweetly. His smiles made me melt. I completely forgot what was on my mind.
“Let’s go to your room alone and leave the kids to do whatever they want,” Seth gives a promising looks. Then I remembered my dream. Wedding...Damon...Husband...Family...NO! I wanted to leave Daphne and the Demon just to talk to Seth. What’s the worst that can happen by leaving them there? I felt sickness into my stomach. No...There’s a lot of worse things that can happen. Seth hugged me. This is what he did to distract me from getting me angry at him. He’d use it all the time, even before we went out.
“What’s wrong?” he asked me and half laughed “You just went pale.” Yes, because lots of bad things can happen leaving a prostitute and a drunk player in the same room.
“I can’t leave them...” I say in horror “They’ll... Make me scared...blind...physco for the rest of my life.” Seth frowned and looked over behind me. Then he turned his head near Daphne. Demon was no longer behind me, he was beside Daphne. Oh no...! It’s already begun! I see them and they were talking. Oh the horror.
