Chapter 28
I hate him. I hate him not.
I like him. I like him not.
I love him. I love him not.
I’m so afraid that it’ll turn out that way. At the start, I already choose my decision. What’s done is done. Things can’t be changed. The past isn’t easily forgotten because it’ll always follow you wherever you are. So, am I afraid of falling for the demon? Possibly... Am I afraid of falling out? Not sure... Am I afraid of him being gone? Always.
“Lexis, Damon could be in danger if he arrives back at this time. They intend to kill. I didn’t put you two on that show just to torture him. It’s to keep him far away from what I suspected a threat. Make sure to keep this a secret,” His mother spoke in a hushed tone over the phone. Guess what that means? That attack... It wasn’t an accident. It wasn’t a serial killer. It wasn’t a psychopath. They were trained killers. She never said they were or hardly clued it but something in me told me that this was not some accident if Damon is danger.
I’m going way too far deep in the criminal activity world here. My parents own something illegal. Daphne works as a slut. Me... I hired an assassin. I’m just as bad as them aren’t I? Every since I made that contract with that Assassin I’m classified as a criminal. Last, others seemed to be after Damon’s family. That would make sense considering they were rich though. It just didn’t seem real, you know? I’m not in some kind of assassin TV show or movie. I don’t want to be.
My head pounds against a tree. I fell backwards and quietly whined in pain. Something had caught me from behind, lifting me up again. I glanced behind me and stared at the Demon and pushed him a far distance away.
“Psycho, where’s your mind?” He echoes and scoffs “Oh, that’s right, you don’t have one...” He’s lucky I pity him at the moment. The wilderness was getting tiring. All we have to do is win...? Right? As soon as we win this, we’ll have to verse Nikki & Raven. Hopefully the two don’t kill us to win.
“Are we there yet,” I whined loudly.
“We don’t know where there is,” Raven frowned. Oh, that’s right... None of us know how to read a map correctly. Raven and Nikki glance at each other as noises stirred from the direction of the right side of our shoulders. It was broad daylight. I doubt whatever it is will surprise us-unless it’s a really big animal. Raven and Nikki began to sing the same song from last night. A bloody scream echoes in the air. I froze numb but the girls just laughed.
“What was that?” Demon asks horrified.
“A way to the exit,” Nikki smiled proudly. I glance over the right and saw the group hiding behind the trees and staring at the girls as if they were there nightmare. Eh, that’s no surprise.
“Stop singing that!” Misty exclaimed over the girls.
“Why...?” The twins obliviously frowned. Ah, I see what they did there. That song reminded them exactly, by detail of what happened last night. I sighed and took a foot steps forward and the whole group flinched and started to cry out real tears.
“Did they come to you last night?” Ralph whispered as his eyes shifted all over the place, even the sky as if he was looking for something. His head was moving like an owl!
“Who...?” Nikki doubly blinked.
“Them,” Logan spoke inhigh pitched mouse voice.
