Part 4

After the encounter with the mysterious Oikawa Tooru, [First] had to swallow up all the childish giddiness within her and walked to the town. The steps she took were slow as she neared the market. She refused to go home empty handed for fear she might yet again get another punishment from the dreaded Duchess.

"Ahh, Miss [First]! It's so nice to see you, my lady." A kind voice yells. The girl's [E/C] eyes landed on the old housemaid, Gertrude. She smiled as she practically skipped her way towards her. Dresses were behind her, little girls dragging their parents toward Gertrude's shop, their noses pressed on the glass.

[First] smiled as she went to hug Gertrude. The woman was big and plump, a little like the Duchess, but her heart was ten times as bigger than the cruel stepmother. Gertrude gave her a long lasting hug, not caring for the dirty and cinder covered dress [First] wore. She held her at arms length, examining her for a minute.

"My dear, you've grown so much! That woman is using your beauty to waste!"

[First] laughed. "No, I don't think I have even a pinch of beauty, Lady Gertrude." She decided to change the subject. "I see your business is beginning to become famous. I always knew you favored making my dresses than buying them for Mother."

"My lady, it was nothing. That illness took my daughter. I loved you like you were my own. And I still do." She said as she rubbed the girl's small arm. "So, what brings you into town? I didn't expect you here today."

[First] smiled slightly at the memory of Oikawa.

"I met someone..."

He couldn't get her out of his head. When he closes his eyes, he sees her face. All the time. Not like it bothered him, though. What bothered him was when was he going to see her again. Will she be in the woods again? Will he ever see her again? Both questions would be answered with a simple word that frustrates him even more.

Maybe. He hated that word. There was no certainty to it. In the midst of his daydream, he didn't hear his best friend yell at him about God knows what. He looked up. "Hm-AH!"

He rubbed his cheek, where the boot came in contact with. "Ow...! Iwa, that hurt!" He whined as he rubbed the spot.

His best friend sat defiantly in his seat, glaring at him. "Well, if you paid to any attention to what I said, then maybe I wouldn't have hit you." He snapped. Iwaizumi continued to glare at his best friend. "What's with you anyways? You've been staring into space more than you usually do."

Oikawa turned away. He's more than sure there was a hue of red on his face, making Iwaizumi even more curious. It didn't take long for him to piece two and two together.

"There's a girl, isn't there?"

Thud. Oikawa fell of his chair. Quickly, he picked himself up. "H-How?" He questioned as he looked at his friend in pure, utter shock. Iwaizumi only gave his friend a sigh.

"You're too obvious, idiot." He replied as he watched Oikawa scramble up. "So, who is she? One of the lords' daughters? A market girl selling jewelry?"

"No. We went out hunting a few hours before and I saw her horse was out of control. I only got her first name. [First]. Never told me her last name." Oikawa said, a little bit in daze with the pretty maiden. Iwaizumi looked at his friend on disbelief. He can't be serious, can he?
