Truth Be Told

It's been a week since I crossed the border and Rosalie finally is getting me off of this property for once. With the excuse that I need new clothes, I sit in her passenger seat while we fallow Alice's car that has the boys in it. Poor Alice, having to drive with them. I don't really call them "Aunt and Uncle" because of the whole age thing but I know that's what they are,
even though Rosalie acts more like a friend in some ways. Nessie is closer to Alice and Jasper then I am, but I have Rose and Emmett so I'm not complaining. Not that I don't love them all, but Rose and I have the same attitude and Emmett and I are just crazy close.

Once arrived at the mall the sports car stops gaining a few looks from others in the parking lot. Opening the door and getting out I take a deep breath in of the uncommon surroundings. It's nice, the time I get away from the house. Which sadly in my case is only two or three times a month, tops.

Shopping is always nice, takes mind off of things. Flipping through racks of clothes nothing really sticks out to me. "This?" Alice asks holding a red top up to herself as Rose and I look over towards her. Compliments her skin, but her eyes look a little too dull with the pigments. Rose shakes her head as I shrug not wanting to make her feel horrible about her decision. I mean if you like it, wear it. Well- That's my motto anyway.

Leaving the mall with two bags filled with  all different styles of clothing I throw them in the back of Alice's Porsche as I also climb into the back. Since Emmett and Jasper kept acting like children in the mall Alice and Rose decided that they can drive home in Rose's car while we take Alice's. Speaking of Alice, she's going on about how the new line of Muchael Kors isn't as good as she had hoped. While I would have to agree, I choose on plugging my earbuds in and watching the nature pass around me from outside of the window. Might as well take advantage of the time I have off of the property and adsorb it while it lasts. I've always loved exploring, I can't wait until finally old enough to go out on my own and travel. Basically everything about nature interests me in one way or another.

One moment it's a calming casual ride through Forks, Washington. The next it's mini heart attack. "Alice!" I scream out of fear and adrenaline while my body is suddenly jolted forward. Rose grabs the wheel quickly seeing Alice isn't exactly here right now. That meaning she sees something, as in a vision of some sort. Me heartbeat calms while Rose steers us in a regular direction, Alice's foot still on the gas. Thank god we're not on a major road or that could have been way worse.

A gasp for unneeded air sucks into her lungs as she quickly grabs the wheel again. Consciousness rushing into her system hear head snaps back at me before going back towards the road. "What? What is it?" I ask frantically wondering why on earth she's looking at me like that. "Alice!" Rose says again as she is just as curious as I am. "Cassidy- You were in my vision."

"So what does this mean?" Dad asks as we are all seated around the living room. "I still can't read her thoughts, she still has that barrier like Bella." He says quickly as I feel a warming hand placed on my lap. Looking over I see Esme with a small sympathetic smile on her face. Giving her a mimicked expression, Emmett then speaks up. "Well, what did you see?" An uneasiness is seen in her expression before it's washed away and she gives a small smile towards Jasper. Clearly him being the one that's granting her comfort.

Suddenly before she had to say anything, it's clear she was thinking about it due to the tenseness that washes over my father. "What is it?" Mom asks laying a hand on his shoulder. "Jacob." He voice angry speaking through his teeth. Jaw clenched mom and everyone else except for Alice and dad are majorly confused. That being along with myself. "He's back?" Jasper asks as Alice nods and speaks again. "More then that." While we all exchange confused, distant looks Rose asks the next question. "What does that have to do with Cassidy?" Her voice determined and annoyed as I swallow the dry, lumped feeling in my throat.

And as Alice says the next lines everything changed.

"He imprinted on her."
