How come Alice isn't seeing this? I mean it's never for certain that she sees everything, but it would surely be helpful if she were to see this. Footsteps are heard making way down the marble hallway towards the room in which I've been told to wait.
There's no point in trying to escape. I may be powerful but there's no doubt in my mind that I'm incapable of taking on the Volturi. A brunette is seen at the doorway in less clothing then anyone here, which doesn't say much. Her dress is nice, but her tan is cheap. It's obvious she's going to be someones meal in the near future, but I'm just in a guilty mind knowing there's a bad destiny ahead of her. I'm not sure why anyone would like to come in here in the first place, usually they bring in people to give them a "tour" and then basically murder them for food. It's pathetic really. Last time I was here with my family the secretary was hired and she was in hopes of becoming one of us, yet they ate her too, just as I expected.
"Cassidy is it?" The woman asks as her heels echo around the room. Nodding I give her a small toothless grin, poor girl has no idea what she's in for.
I'm guessing she has a nursing degree due to how easily she drew my blood. It wasn't bad which just makes me wonder more about the reasoning they need my blood. The past few hours I've been left here to sit in my own confusion. The door to "my room" is medal and there are bars on my window. I'm free to roam the castle type building yet no matter where I go it feels like jail.
----------
After some self loathing I decide apon exploring the building I'm trapped in. I mean if I'm being kept here against my will I might as well get a feel for the place. Right?
I wonder how Jake is doing. I vaguely remember hearing him howl in the woods the night I was taken, but I'm still curious. The whole imprint connection thing has really been getting a hold of me. Not just that however, I do believe I truly care for him. More then expected and that's what scares me most. The fact that I've known him for what? Not even three months and I'm already completely wrapped up in him. (Whether he knows it or not.) Everything was going so good before this, the party was nice and meeting Rachel went better then I expected. Of coarse, something and/or someone had to go ahead and ruin it. Jake was so happy that night. The way he was laughing and how every few moments we would catch glances across the table making me get all nervous inside. It's hard not to smile thinking about it, however being locked up in a castle somewhere in Italy is a pretty big kill joy if you ask me.
Everyone I pass around this place glares at me like stone. I really do believe I'd choose federal prison over being in this place any day. My body is weak from lack of nutrients and it's becoming difficult to even carry myself around in these clothes. "There you are Cassidy." I hear the villainous sounding voice announce in a delighted tone from behind me. My senses being heightened from bloodlust makes me realizes theres many more people, humans that is, near by. Smelling a bit more I furrow my eyebrows at him a bit concerned. "Who's here?" I question in a low tone due to the burning in my throat. Cocking his head slightly to the side he interwinds his hands into one another facing a vile smile my way. "Dinner." He notes brushing past me with his cape like clothing fallowing behind him. It's like Aro want's to resemble one of the stereotypical Dracula creatures.
As I hear the footsteps coming up the spiral staircase with mumbling in between their steps my nose only fills with more scent. I've never drank human blood other then that of what Carlisle has brought me home
from blood-banks and even that's on a very rare occasion. Usually only if I'm sick or getting sick in order to heighten my immune system. Quickly I sprint down the hallway at supernatural speed to get away from the non-immortals before my thirst overwhelms me. I can't do this, I won't kill an innocent person I'm not like that this isn't me. Is this some sort of test? Oh god what if it is? All I can think of is blood does that mean I'm failing? The burning hurts to even swallow now and my temptation is only growing, I gotta get out of here.Locking myself in my room is all I could think of. Water just feels like fire pouring into my throat and isn't cutting it like I had hoped it would. "Cassidy." A familiar voice calls as I hear a knock echo through my room from the door. "Yea?" I ask lightly unable to raise my voice any higher due to the lack of energy and agonizing pain in my throat. "I'm coming in." Jane interrupts opening up the once locked door with a cup in her hands. Looking over to her she seems a little startled at my eyes. "You missed dinner." She notes holding out some sort of metal looking sports bottle. "Can you tell?" I say sarcastically knowing my eyes must be pitch black by now. "Aro send me to give you this." Her hands holding out the bottle as I am intoxicated by the smell. Holding out any more isn't an option and even though I understand how wrong it is to drink human blood it's not like I'm actually killing anyone, right? I mean the persons already dead anyway so... No harm no foul?
After basically attacking the blood filled cup I can feel immediate relief granted to my throat and strength pour through me. Plus the taste is much more satisfying then that of an animals. Am I bad for doing this? Well I don't exactly have much of a choice at this point.
"So what is this all another test?" I question not caring much for my results in these pointless examinations. For a moment Jane stayed quiet until she turned my way again from looking around the room. "Most likely, but you didn't attack the humans even after not feeding, which is good." Her voice is stern like always, but in another way there is a small bit of sympathy etched into it. Interesting. "They know where you are, they're coming and Aro knows." She informs me as I continue to sip onto my drink. What does this mean for me? I doubt their just going to let me leave. "Meaning?" I ask a little bitterly, not on purpose but I'm really bad at not knowing things... As you can probably already tell by now. "I'm telling you this because the council don't plan on letting you leave until your testing is over." She notes slowly walking out of the room. Okay, what's that supposed to tell me? I mean seriously can she be any more blunt and bewildered? "Jane wait, what are you saying?" I ask while standing up and following her out of the room slightly. She stops seemingly to fix together a quick reply for my questions. "Just be ready." She says as her speed increases and in milliseconds she is put of eyesight. Great, thanks for all the help Jane. Really.
