Crackling branches under my feet seem only to make my surroundings ten times eerier. The fogginess of the woods enables me to see only so far ahead of myself, while the humidity masks over the traditional mix of pine and maple which usually hangs in the air. All the features combined makes it feel as if I don't even know this place. What I do know, something isn't right. I've had this feeling all day and no matter how much I try and push it away it only seems to come back stronger each time. A breeze ruffles much of the leaves and only sends me to feel like I'm being watched, once again. Taking in a deep breath I begin to pickup my pace through the woods wanting desperately to get home as soon as possible. I'm now regretting not having someone just come and pick me up from the party.
The vibration of my phone in my back pocket causes me to suddenly jump out of shock. Heart trying to regulate I answer to Alice's frantic voice. "Hello-" Being cut off from my confused introduction only leads me to become more on edge as an unfamiliar citrus like scent hits my nose. "Cassidy get out of there. Now." Is all she says before the call ends out of nowhere. The fear in her voice does nothing less then nearly cause me to have a heart attack. Swallowing my dry throat aches from lack of moisture as my breaths are shallowing, now being almost positive someone is watching me.
"Almost too easy." The voice sounds like that of a snake as I whip around my body to come to see a hooded figure facing my way. Taking a step towards me the moonlight allows itself to lay itself on the unknown face. Taking in Alec's being to my sight I back away slightly wanting nothing to do with whatever he has planned. "Go away, Alec." I say desperately not trying to sound frightened in any way possible. Except in the reality of things he can hear my heart beat beating at an incredible speed, one I never imagined possible for all the wrong ways. "What would be the fun in that?" He asks smirkingly as I feel the hair raise on the back of my neck sensing yet another being. Before turning to see what's behind me all attention between the three of us is directed towards the uprising of howls echoing from around the woods.
Seeing Dimitri emotionless standing behind me standing as if on guard I swallow back the lump in my throat. The last howl heard makes my heart hurt just hearing it. "Jake." I breath out under my breath, but of course both the Volturi followers can still hear my soft voice. "Alec." Demitri nods towards me as I narrow my eyes towards the both of them slightly scared and confused. "What do you want?" I ask them as I feel my wrists suddenly being held behind my like some sort of prisoner. "Get the hell off of me." I struggle with a bitter voice desperately trying to break free from his hold. "Let's go." Alec agrees as I'm then thrown over Demitris shoulder and am staring at the floor of the woods while trying to yell for help through the unwilling chase out of the woods. I'm literally being kidnapped right now. Why? This has to be what Alice tried to warn me about just moments ago. Most likely also the explanation for my horrible feeling. But what the hell do the Volturi need me for? Enough to kidnap me even... This is way too much. What did I do wrong?
They're going to kill me? Oh my god.
What if they try and kill me?
