Darkness has been cascaded over me for who knows how long. The last things I remember was being dragged through the woods over someones shoulder, against my will may I add. Mumbles become a bit clearer as my mind hears out for what the voices may or may not be saying. I'm awake. But when did I fall asleep? Was I knocked unconscious?
"Aro will be more then pleased with our timing." A familiar venomous voice fills whatever type of room I am in. Aro, as in Volturi Aro... Oh shit. It was Alec, that's Alec speaking. It was him and Demitri who took me, explaining how they found me so easily thanks to Dimitri's gift. My dad once told me the only reason the Volturi keep him around is to find people. Which is what he just did, he found me.
I'm not just going to lie here and wait for wait for whatever they choose to do with me to happen. My dry throat tightens as I try to swallow opening my eyes as they adjust to the light. My aching body is weak as I struggle to lift myself into a sitting position. Coughing a little the scratchiness in my voice lets out. "What the-" Cutting off my voice I see Jade holding out a cup towards me. Where the hell did she come from? Looking at her a bit questionably I take the cup into my own shaky hands looking inside to see just that of water. Thank god.
I've always liked Jade believe it or not, just not her surrounding coven."Confused?" Her voice questions causing me to nod without saying a word as the icy water soothes my burning throat. Sadly, I know water is only going to work for so long. "Your in Volterra." She noter causing me to basically choke on my drink. "How the hell did I get to Italy?" I ask a bit abruptly, yet still soft not wanting to aggravate my vocal cords any further. "Most likely a plane." She allows as her long cape looking shall hangs along the floor while she goes to look over the city from a window I hadn't even noticed until now. Fallowing her over my mind is racing with questions I choose not to ask, mostly for my own sanity. "You've been out about a week." She allows me to understand even though it only makes me more confused. "Why can't I remember passing out? Why did I pass out? -And for a week at that?" The racing thoughts pile out slightly before I choose to go quiet once again giving her time to reply. Her calm stance isn't helping me get any less frustrated as she keeps her eyes over the city below. "My brother must have put you to sleep with his gift." She explains more to herself then to me. Alec can do that? I though he could only cause pain with the black cloud like mist that comes from his hands... Guess I was wrong.

"Ahhhh Cassidy." Aro gestures as I enter the the room. Jade made me change into a black gown and hooded shall to "fit in" more around this place. I told her that I'm leaving asap to which she replied that it isn't my choice. Comforting isn't it? Aro's raised hand gestures to me as I waltz over to the council with much elegance against the marble flooring. Styled a bit mid evil if you ask me, but all together quite suiting for the occasion and position. "Aro." I nod towards him once standing all of five feet in front of the center throne like seat to which he is seated. Looking to my right I nod in a slight bowing motion towards another council type member. "Caius." I note as he nods back at with with a small smirk acknowledging my presence. He gave Nessie and I the hardest time as kids, yet I think he's warmed up to the idea of us being around ever since. Off my to left I do the same announcing Marcus' name while he speaks back to me. Personally I like him the most, he seems quite wise and to my knowledge Carlisle also enjoys him best.
"Youngest of the Cullen clan. I must ask, How have you all been doing?" Aro asks as I hold my head highly while speaking on behalf of my family. "Fine, you?" I carry on trying my best to show no signs of being weak. "Wonderful." He purrs and smiles evilly as I smirk back narrowing my eyes just a bit in slight bitterness. He hold out his hands wanting he tame mine into his own as I hesitantly hand mine over. Here goes nothing, if they "know everything" like they claim to nothing should be a surprise. Right?
"Just as I expected." He nods letting go of my hands after a few moments. "Jacob is his name?" Aro questions as I get goosebumps immediately towards the way Jake's name rolls off of his tongue. Nodding head still held high he nods looking between his council members without a word. "May I ask why I'm here?" I announce becoming quite impatient. I've never exactly been the best with waiting, ever since I was little. Aro raises an eyebrow at this, but none the less continues. "In a hurry are we?" He questions only making my blood boil more at his lack of answers. After a silence that could kill coats the room for a few moments Marcus unnecessarily clears his throat and speaks up. "We fear your a threat to our kind." He announces, something I've been raised on hearing. "I thought we already went through this. There are rules in place, I understand that." Confusion and aggravation seep into my tone as I talk. "This is true, but nothing is for certain. We want to do a few... tests." Caius agrees with his fellow ancients as they all look directly at me. Tests? "What do you mean tests? And where is my family?" Frustration now pushes through as Jade lays a hand on my shoulder from behind. Pushing her hand off of me with a roll of my shoulder she stands waiting to hear from her superiors just as I do.
"Medical"
"Physical"
"Mental"
Each of the council announce as I stand in annoyance and frustration. "Carlisle and your little family have been tracking your scent all over the country. However, it's only a matter of time before they realize that the duplicated scent isn't actually yours, so we mustn't wait to start the testing." Aro approves as I see Felix out of the corner of my eye start walking towards me. A bodyguard, is that really necessary? I think this is all a bit dramatic if you ask me.
"Felix shall show you to your room. There should be a nurse in their waiting to take your blood." Marcus informs me as my brain begins to hurt a bit from the constant head rush of questions and confusion flowing through it. "Your blood is much too temping for any of us to lay our hands on." Caius notes always having to have the last word. God does he piss me off. Rolling my eyes I fallow Felix out of the room still desperately trying to understand what the point to all of this really is.
