"Please pack up now. Class will be ending soon."
There was a hurry of hands grabbing every thing on their tables and stuffing them in their bags. After everyone was finished we all waited impatiently for the bell to ring. All eyes were fixed on the bell as if they could make it ring.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
Shouts and flurries of people's arms and legs filled the room. I joined the crowd and they pushed me outside along with them.
As soon as we entered the hallway, the horde of year sevens disappeared down to the oval leaving me on my own to wander all the way there. I started walking down when suddenly a colourful banner caught my eye.
Looking up I saw the banner said 'Annual High School Art Competition' a flood of energy filled me up. I never missed these competitions. With that thought in my head I ran straight to the doorway to meet with Jenny.
As planned Jenny met me there with a huge smile.
"Hey Kate! Did you see the competition?" Asked Jenny.
"Of course! How could I miss that? It was so colourful!" I replied.
"This time it's a bit different though. There is a theme..."
"What's the theme? I didn't see"
"It's ok. I looked at the poster hung up near my classroom and the theme is scenery."I thanked Jenny and we headed to our group spot where we would meet the others. Soon enough they all came and started talking non-stop about the art contest and what they were going to do.
While all my friends planned their ideas, I took some time for myself to think about what I was going to do.
After a while I had an idea.
