I came to school in high spirits. But they fell when I saw other year sevens whispering and pointing at me as I walked through the hallway. I really didn't like all this attention so I ran to the oak tree and say all my friends whispering as well! What was going on?
As soon as I appeared, they all looked at me and their mouths were shut tight. I wanted an explanation.
"Uhh... What's happening? People have been pointing at me and whispering as I walked down the hallway..."
As soon as I finished my sentence, they all huddled again and started whispering. I heard: Jordan, Kate, secret and rumour.
Once they had finished 'deciding', Jenny cleared her throat and announced the 'big' news.
"Well... There has been a rumour around the school that Jordan likes you... Jordan's friend must've told Jane who pretty much told everyone in the grade. Well she is the best person to tell a secret to if you want it around the whole grade so she pretty much spread the news. Some people think it's a huge rumour. But that's only because they armed jealous. And also..."
At this moment Jenny turned around and started asking. "Should I tell her?"
There were nods and shakes of the head but the majority were nods. So Jenny turned back to me and looked really serious.
"They also say that Jordan is going to ask you out." There was a long silent pause. Then out of the blue, all of my friends started shouting:
"Are you gonna say yes?"
"It's a one in a million chance!"
"No a billion!"
"Kate you have to say yes!"
"Say yes!"
I shushed them all and announced "Depends if it is a rumour or not." I smirked at them. I just love tension.
