A Start of a New Friendship

I sulked during all of school and couldn't concentrate at all. I just couldn't believe that Melanie had done such a thing! During recess and lunch I sat alone at the bench with Jenny. But Jenny didn't know what was wrong. She kept asking but not a single word came out of my mouth. Soon she just decided to leave me and decided that I needed some own time. Which I did.

However I started to feel abandoned and started sobbing quietly. Then the most unexpected person came and sat next to me. I wanted to kick the person who had sat there because everyone new this bench was only for me and Jenny. That was until I saw who it actually was. It was Jordan. Why was he here? He wouldn't even care if I was dying!

"Are you okay?" Jordan was trying to start a conversation.
"Yeah..." I wanted him to go away.
"Obviously your not. Because you're crying."
"Then why did you ask?" This was so embarrassing. The most popular kid in the grade was talking to me while my face was red and covered in tears.

Wait Jordan isn't saying anything... Maybe he has decided to leave me alone!

"Ok, what happened?" Ok I guess I was wrong. "Just tell me. It's not like I'm going to tell the whole world!"
I gave up.

"Fine! I entered the art competition and-"
"Yeah I know you entered the competition."
"How did you know?"
"Umm..."
"Ugh! Doesn't matter! Anyway Melanie just randomly comes into my house, goes into my room and r-r-ruins m-my painting..." At this point I burst into a waterfall of tears.

"Oh... Well I always hated Melanie." This must have been really awkward for Jordan.
"Well I really wish Melanie heard that because... She really likes you..."
"Yeah I can tell."

Then he said the most unexpected thing ever.

"Maybe... I could help you... You know with your painting."
"Really?"
"Yeah..."
"Umm, okay."

I felt so happy that he had decided to help me. But the problem was there was only five days left. And it had took me a whole week to finish my painting.

Hopefully we could finish it in less than five days. After all two people are working on one painting.
