I was still confused at how Jordan had found out about the ripped painting. So I decided to ask him. After all he was my boyfriend.
"Hey Jordan!"
"Hi Kate! How you doing?"
"Great! Just wanted to thank you for standing up for me and I was just wondering how-"
"Oh! No problem! So what were you wondering?"
"Uhh, I was wondering how you found out about my ripped artwork..."
"Oh! Yeah about that... I'm your neighbour..."
I was surprised. But it also made something much clearer.
"So are you the dude who kept peeking through his window and into mine?"
"Uh yeah..."
Jordan looked glum.
"Cheer up Jordan!no need to be so sad!"
"I was just thinking about how u peeped into your room. It wasn't right..."
"Don't worry about it!"
Jordan gave me a small smile and I have him a hug. He cheered up after that.
Then the bell rang. It was time for science. I said goodbye to Jordan and walked to lab 8 where I met my friends. They smiled and waved at me as I walked closer. Then I noticed Melanie was there.
"Uh hi Melanie."
"Hi..." Melanie responded.
"So what's up?" I asked.
"Umm, just telling your friends that I was moving schools."
"Oh! Why?"
"Umm... Because... Uhh... Well my parents are deciding to move... Yeah!"
I could tell Melanie was lying. But the real reason was none of my business so I started walking inside the classroom.
But Melanie stopped me. "Look Kate. I'm really sorry for what I did. It was wrong and rude. Can you please forgive me?" I agreed and gave her a comforting hug because I noticed tears welling up. I offered her to sit with me and my friends and she agreed.
Lots of things change in life. Enemies and friends change. So do bad and good situations. But mainly hate. I thought this as I walked out of the school to meet Jordan. We walked together since we were neighbours. Sometimes he even came over to have tea at our house. His dad got his job back but Jordan rejected the idea of moving and stayed at his old house.
My neighbour, my friend.
I guess hate can change after all...
