Chapter XII: Halloween

Previously: Eren and Levi have been dating for a few weeks and things are going well for them and Hanji has once again planned a party.

I was really surprised at how well Mikasa took me and Levi dating. I'm relieved don't get me wrong but still. Anyway, things have been going well with me and Levi. Like really good, I mean I didn't even think he liked me at all, let alone in that way. It has been nothing short of amazing. Granted we still have some stuff to work through, he still isn't fully comfortable talking to me a whole lot but he makes it up by being surprisingly affectionate. He really likes to cuddle, like a lot, which I don't really mind but I like his kisses more.

After telling Mikasa we started telling people at school, mostly just my friends as Hanji and Erwin already knew. Jean even congratulated me, sincerely too and gave me a fist bump. Marco was really happy for us as well. He and Jean seem to be doing well also.

Hanji has planned a Halloween party, she invited everyone with only requirement. Everyone had to wear a costume.

"I'm not a child, I don't even want to go to Hanji's stupid party," Levi grumbles a couple hours before the party.

"C'mon Levi we already got you a costume and Hanji will cry if you don't come," I say grinning at his grumpy face.

"Why do I tolerate other human beings," he says deepening the creases between his his eyebrows.

I laugh at this and stood up from my bed. I poked his crease in between eyebrows. He instinctively grabs my arm. I smile and shake my arm loose and wrap both my arms around his waist.

"But I'd be lonely and bored if you didn't come," I say puffing out my bottom lip.

He sighs and rolls his eyes then gives me a short kiss on the lips.

"Ugh you know I can't stay mad at you," he says in frustration.

I grin and pull him into a deeper kiss.

"Come on lets get ready to go," I say.

We get to Hanji's and as soon as we get to the door it bursts open.

"He you guys! Oh my freckled Jesus you too are so kawaii!" She screeches.

"Is someone talking about me?" We hear Marco's voice from inside the house.

Levi is dressed as a cat and I'm dressed like a dog. I drew the cat nose and whiskers on him, that with his ears and tail just makes him totally adorable. Hanji is dressed in some sort of cosplay, it looks like something from Hetalia, I haven't seen that one yet. She rambles on about how the party was almost as awesome as her. We eventually get to where everyone else is. People are spread out, cheesy Halloween music is playing and everyone is in costume.

I look around at this different costumes, Erwin apparently is 'Germany' according to Hanji I guess he was tired of being Captain America. Armin is He-man finally, it took a lot of convincing from me and Hanji, the similarity is uncanny. Mikasa has work so she's not here, who has to work on Halloween? Seriously? Jean and Marco are Batman and Robin, Sasha is Katara and Connie is Aang. Apparently Connie started a prank war with Reiner, so Levi and I are advised to be careful where we step.

Levi stuck close to me for most of the night as we hung out and talked to different people. Around ten Connie commandeered me to help with his prank. I left Levi with Erwin and Armin while Connie and I go and hide in the bushes outside of Hanji's house. We have about twenty water balloons. We hear someone coming. We jump out and pelt Reiner and Bertolt with the water balloons.

Connie and I laugh and high five each other. Just then we get hit with a blast of freezing cold water from behind. It knocks us to the ground and we see Ymir and Krista with a hose.

"Queens of pranking losers!" Ymir proclaims and kisses her girlfriend.

"No fair!" Connie yells.

I just laugh and get up, I don't want to walk inside dripping. When I get to the door I see Levi standing there.

"I'd hug you but.." I say motioning to the water covering me.

"That was amusing, you should change so you don't get sick," he says.

"Awe are you worried about me?" I say with a grin.

"No," he says non-convincingly as he crosses his arms.

I lean over and kiss him on the cheek, making sure not to get him wet.

"Come on, lets go find Hanji and get me a towel then we can go back to my house and watch a scary movie."

He nods and we spend the rest of the night cuddling and me flipping out during jump scares.
