Chapter VII: Next Saturday

Previously: Levi hung out at Eren's house and Eren is continuing his plan to be friends with Levi.

After Levi and I's first hang out I have continued my attempts to become friends with him. It hasn't been easy but with help from Hanji and Erwin I think we are more than just acquaintances at the very least. We've hung out a couple more times and sometimes he says entire sentences to me. It's now early October and after pursuing my friendship with Levi for almost a month now I can say it hasn't gotten old in the least. In fact the more I've tried, the more I've become slightly obsessed with him.

Armin, the little He-man impersonator, is under the impression that I am in love or something. Which, of course is not true. At least not completely, I mean he is amazing at everything he does both in academics and stuff in P.E. Also his cool, almost rude attitude is kinda endearing in a way. I can tell he cares though and that the reason he closes himself off is because he is wary of what could potentially hurt him. Hanji and Erwin have hinted hint to things about his past and apparently he lives with Erwin because it was the only and/or best option for him.

In any case he hasn't told me much of anything, even if he actually considers me a friend. I mean he hasn't said anything to the contrary, he continues to hang out with meand all that. Sometimes he scares me, if he doesn't like my sense of humor... let's just say if looks could kill, I would have been dead a long time ago. I was right to assume not to mention his height. One idiot who tried while we were walking together in the halls got a black eye that lasted a week.

"Hey Levi!" I say to him as I pass him in the gym locker.

He makes eye contact and nods. See I have made a lot of progress with him! (A/N: Senpai noticed him!) I hurry to my locker, get dressed down and run to meet him. We have a Sub today so it the teacher just made it a free day. Levi and I just go sit together on the bleachers.

"Are you going to Hanji's party next Saturday?" I ask him.

"Regrettably, yes," he says with a small sigh.

"Oh c'mon it won't be that bad," I say laughing a little.

"It's Hanji it will be that bad."

Hanji is known for planning weird parties. They are more like get togethers than actual parties with alcohol and stuff, like people assume happens in high school. Plus since me and Levi have been hanging out more our two groups of friends have kind of mixed. Not that everyone didn't know each other before but now it seems like my group of friends has just gotten bigger.

"Well, I'll be there so you don't have to worry, I'll make sure you have fun!" I say smiling brightly at him.

He looked away, I wonder why. Wait, was he blushing? Smiling? Probably not but it is nice to imagine the the possibility.

Eren: So what do we wear tonight?

Hanji: Casual but nicer than what u wear on a normal day

Eren: Ok cool

Hanji: You'll help me make sure Levi has a good time tonight, right?

Eren: Of course:)

Hanji: Excellent!

Eren: You're not planning anything too crazy right?

Hanji: No promises<3

I am a bit nervous for whatever she is planning. I'm sure it'll be fun, it usually is. Although I still don't know what I should wear. I should ask Armin.

Eren: Hey Armin what do u think I should wear to Hanji's party?

Armin: I don't know nothing weird I guess

Eren: That's very helpful Armin

Armin: It sounds like ur thinking about stuff too hard again

Eren: Shut up this is a perfectly normal thing to worry about

Armin: It's Levi isn't it?

Eren: What do u mean?

Armin: Your overthinking this and u have a tendency to do that when it comes to Levi

Eren: That's not true

Armin: Yes it is and Mikasa's noticed you've been different lately, too

Eren: Different? How?

Armin: Again with overthinking things and also you have been more motivated and all around more happy

Eren: I hadn't noticed

Armin: Having a crush suites you

Eren: Oh be quiet

That kid is insane. But then again he is the smartest person I know, so maybe. Nah.
