Star Wars: Her New Beginning

Chapter 5

Turns out Mason isn't the posing clone. He was just acting weird because his parents don't want him dating Candra. I don't get why because Candra is just amazing. He thinks his parents are watching him. That's understandable when you are secretly dating.

Who could it be then?

We need to be on guard for any signs. Especially tonight because tonight there is a Halloween party at the Temple. The party is for the Jedi, the Temple workers, the clones, and the family members of the Jedi and Temple workers.

A FEW HOURS LATER

I'm getting in my costume for the Halloween party tonight. I'm going as a huntress, but my weapon is my lightsaber and not a bow and arrow.

I wear a light purple/grey colored, short, sleeveless dress. I have black leggings, a short, black cape with gold detail on the trim. I have black, leather, heeled boots, and my lightsaber belt around my waist instead of the belt thing the costume came with. I also have black cuffs that have gold designs.

I put my hair in a side braid, and put the hood of the cape on.

Tonight I'm not going to take my crutches. That might not be the best idea, but I want to do it.

I leave for the party. Mom and dad will be leaving later.

I get in my starfighter with R2, and leave.

When I get to the Temple, I find Ander.

He is wearing a hunters costume. We didn't even plan that.

He is wearing a green, long sleeve shirt with a hood, brown, faux leather vest thing, black pants, brown, faux leather gloves, black leather boots, and his lightsaber belt around his waist.

We are wearing very similar costumes.

"How did this happen?" Ander asks

"We didn't even go costume shopping together." I say

We head into the big room that the party is in. Everything is decorated with orange, black, and purple in some way, shape, or form.

Some time goes by and so far the party has been really fun.

I've also been looking out for anything regarding the posing clone.

Everyone is in costume even the clones, so this could be a little difficult.

I'm talking with Candra, and she is dressed in a "glamorous pirate" as she says. Her skirt, top, and pirate jacket have glitter on them. So that's probably what she means by glamorous.

We are talking and I see a person, with a mask that is covering their entire face, walk by Candra and I. No one else is wearing a mask that covers their entire face.

The person walks out of the room.

Candra and I look at each other.

"Go." I say so just Candra can hear me.

We walk out of the room. When we get out we see the person and we run. I catch him first, get him to the ground, pull him up by the collar of his shirt, push him up against the wall, and put my right forearm right under his neck.

"Before I pull off the mask, I'll give you an opportunity to tell me who you are, and than maybe you might not get hurt as bad." I say

"I'll give you a hint," He says, he sounds very familiar "You already know who I am."

Candra and I look at each other. Candra shrugs. I look back at him and pull off the mask.

I don't believe what I see.
