It's just two days before Christmas. I can't believe that it's the end of the year. It seems like we just started the year. It doesn't seem to go fast, but once you get to the end of the year, it seems like it went by fast.
Right now Leia, Analeia, Mara Jade, mom, and I are in the kitchen baking. We are baking chocolate chip cookies, snicker doodles, sugar cookies, and cinnamon cream cake. All the guys volunteered to be taste testers. Of course. Their guys. They like food.
We have a good size kitchen so we have enough room for the five of us. After about an hour or so of baking, and guys taste testing, we are done. We also managed to not get any wookie hairs in the batter.
The next day, it's Christmas Eve. I can't believe it's Christmas Eve. Gifts are already under the tree, cards are in the tree. Tomorrow night, Ander is taking me out. We are finally making up for the date I had to cancel because of the flu.
I plan on wearing the dress I wore for our first date. It's a strapless, red, knee length, chiffon dress with a small little flower on the side. It's simple yet elegant.
Right now at I'm at the Jedi Temple talking with Candra. We're talking about some of the missions we have been on.
"Didn't you complete the run to Alderraan in like 14 parceps." Candra questions.
"It was 12 parceps." I say
"Oh yeah." She says
"Yeah. How was the mission to Geonosis?" I ask
"Very sandy." She says
"Well, that's Geonosis for you." I say
"Pretty much." She says "The sand storms are horrible."
"The sand storms on Geonosis are worse then the ones on Tatooine." Dad says walking by.
"Never want to go there again." Candra says
We both laugh. We continue to talk and walk. After a while we wish each other a Merry Christmas and we head home.
It's starting to get late. It's dark and cold outside. We are all home drinking hot chocolate. Ander is coming tomorrow at around 6:00 pm to pick me up for our date. I'm really excited. He sounded really nervous though when we were talking on the communicator. Weird. He usually never gets nervous.
After about 9:00 pm I decide to go to bed. I'm too tired to stay up. I put on my pj's, get in bed, and fall asleep.
It's Christmas Day. This morning we opened presents and got some very exciting news from Luke and Mara Jade. They are expecting there first child. We were all so happy. They found out they were having a child about two weeks ago. It's around 2:00 pm now. I'm getting very excited for mine and Ander's date in like four hours.
Leia and Candra are insisting to do my hair and makeup. Candra keeps calling me on my communicator. I finally cave. Candra will be over by 5:00 pm at the latest.
5:00 pm roles around and Candra is already here. She and Leia are doing my hair and makeup. Leia is doing my makeup while Candra is doing my hair. Once that is done I have a smokey eye. My hair is laying naturally wavy, but the front parts are pulled back, with my side bangs still lose.
I then get in my dress, and my nice, black leather boots. These boots are not my normal ones. These are nicer and brand new. Because it's cold outside and my dress is strapless, I'm also wearing a soft, black shawl wrap. It's very nice to bundle up in.
Everyone is downstairs and I'm putting on the finishing touch to my outfit. The necklace Ander gave me for our 6 month anniversary. It's a silver, infinity symbol, attached to a thicker black string, with our initials on it. Once I'm done I head downstairs. Everyone looks at me and smiles. I smile back.
"You look amazing, Anika." Mara Jade kindly says
"Thank you." I say
It's ten till 6. I'm getting pretty excited. Ten minutes later I hear a knock on the door. My dad goes and opens it. About a minute later Ander walks around the corner dressed very nicely. He stops and just looks at me.
"Wow. Anika. You look...wow." He says stunned.
"Your don't look to bad yourself." I say
"Shall we go?" He asks
"Yes. We shall." I say and with that we head out.
We walk for a while talking about a lot of different things. We get to the meadow we used to always go to. Now it's cover with white snow. It looks so beautiful. The trees have snow on them with icicles hanging. It looks so amazing. It's sunset and this place is just so perfect.
"Your amazing, Anika." Ander says
I let out a small little giggle and smile.
"Your pretty amazing as well." I say
The next thing he does I never even saw coming.
I gasp.
