"C-3PO, if you want to keep your arms, I recommend you zip it." I say directly.
"Yes, Mrs. Knight." C-3PO says
C-3PO has been talking none stop about the success of his mission to Alderraan. He was driving me crazy and I couldn't take it any more. We are in my moms office, that's usually where C-3PO is, and I needed to ask my mom something. I have now forgotten what I needed to ask her because of C-3PO.
I leave moms office and head to the landing platform to head home.
"R2, your flying." I say getting into my starfighter.
He beeps and we are off. We head to the apartment. It's Ander's birthday and I have a gift for him. I can't believe we have been married for two and a half months.
Luke and Mara Jade had a son a few weeks ago. His name is Ben. He was born three weeks before his due date. Thankfully he is healthy and nothing is wrong with him.
I get home and Ander isn't here yet. That's fine, I can start making dinner. I make parmesan chicken and green beans. After dinner is cooked, I put aluminum foil over it so it will stay warm.
It's about 5:45 pm. Ander said he had a Jedi Council meeting today so he should be home in about fifteen minutes. During those fifteen minutes I try to think of a way on how I want to present the gift to him.
After about twenty minutes Ander comes through the door.
"Sorry I'm a few minutes late, the meeting ran long." He says
"No worries." I say "Happy Birthday. Again."
"Thank you." He says "It smells really good in here."
"Really? I can't stand the smell." I whisper to myself.
"You made parmesan chicken." He says "You made one of my favorite dishes."
"Yes I did. We usually don't like going out to eat, so I made a dish I know you really liked." I say
"Well thank you." He says
"You're welcome." I say and we kiss.
I walk into the kitchen and take the aluminum foil off the chicken and the green beans.
After we eat and clean up we go and sit on the couch and start watching TV. I hand him a gift bag.
"It's from my family." I say
He opens it and inside is a simple, platinum, picture frame with his favorite wedding photo of the two of us. The picture is we both have our lightsabers out, we are facing each other, our lightsabers are at the side facing the camera, the lightsabers are crossing each other, and Ander and I are kissing.
"Next time I see your family, I will thank them." He says
"Now I have a gift for you." I say
He turns my direction and smiles.
"Now, this isn't wrapped in any way. I also can't give it to you." I say
He gives me a questioning look.
"What?" He asks
"But I have something else that is close to what the gift is." I say
I hand him an envelope.
He opens the envelope and takes the card out. He opens the card and something falls out. I smile. He picks up what fell out.
"Are you serious?" He asks
I nod and continue to smile.
"This is really an ultrasound photo." He questions.
"Yes, Ander, it is." I say "I'm pregnant."
His eyes get big and he kisses me.
"This is for real." He questions
"Stop questioning whether this is real or not. Yes, it's all true. In eight months you will be a father." I say
Ander couldn't be more happy. We are both really happy. That night I fall asleep with a smile on my face.
