It's been a year since the incident on Endor and it's been a year since I became paralyzed from the waist down.
I'm now on crutches with no more wheelchair. I've been sleeping downstairs in the guest bedroom. It was converted into my room.
I'm at the Jedi Temple with Candra and Ander. I feel bad because they have slow down a bit.
"So how is physical therapy going?" Candra asks
"It's good. In several appointments I should be able to walk without these crutches." I say
"Cool." She says
"How are you and Mason doing?" Ander asks
"We are doing well. We are going on a date tonight. I'm meeting his parents tonight." She says
"You haven't met his parents yet?" I ask out of shock
"No, he didn't want me to for a while. He says his parents are very judge mental regarding his girlfriends." She says
"Well, I hope it goes well." I say
"Same." She says "Anika, will you come with me to pick out an outfit? We are going to a nice, fancy dinner."
"Um, sure." I say
"Than come on." She say gesturing for me to go with her.
I look at Ander.
"Go with her. You haven't had a girls day in a while. We talk later." He says
"Okay, I'll talk with you later." I say
I give him a kiss on the cheek and I go with Candra.
We walk to a dress shop. We look around for a bit.
"Oh my gosh!" Candra squeals.
I look at her. She is holding a long, chiffon, burgundy, strapless, sweetheart neckline, sparkly dress.
"Well, the whole sparkly thing is definitely you." I say
Candra likes sparkly dresses. When ever there is an event that calls for formal attire, she goes for a sparkly, crystally dress.
We are polar opposites when it comes to that. She likes sparkly, I like simple.
"I'm going to try it on." She says
"I'll be here." I say
She goes to a changing room and tries it on. In about a minute she is walking out of the changing room.
She steps on the pedestal thing.
"What do you think?" She asks
"It's definitely you." I say
"You think he'll like it?" She asks
"I think so." I say
After she takes it off we go to the front and pay for it.
"You have to tell me what happens." I say
"You know I will." She says
We leave the store and head to her house.
I help her get ready for her date. I help her with her hair, she does the makeup because I don't use makeup.
After a while of deciding on how she wants her hair and makeup, she is finished. Her hair is down and we curled it into soft curls. She has natural makeup with light pink lipstick.
"I need to head back to the Jedi Temple so I can fly home." I say
"Okay. I will talk to you tomorrow about the date." Candra says
"Okay." I say "Bye."
"Bye." She says
I leave and walk to the Temple.
Once I get to my starfighter I'm exhausted. I'm not used to walking long distances for a long time on crutches.
"R2, your flying." I say
He beeps in response.
I get in the cockpit by sitting on the wing and using my arms to move myself in.
Once I get home I see that Ander's starfighter is where Luke, dad, and I land our starfighters. We have a landing platform in the back.
I walk inside and Ander stands up and faces me.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" I ask
"I...wanted to make sure you got home." Ander says a shaky.
"Oh okay." I say
"I'll see you tomorrow." He says and gives me a kiss on the cheek.
Mom and dad just look at me.
That was interesting.
