Today Luke, Mara Jade, Leia, and Han are coming over. They are staying until a few days after Christmas. I'm waiting on the landing platform behind our house. It's 11:57 am. They both said that they would be here around 12:00 pm. Any minute now they will be here.
Since it is snowing outside, I'm bundled up in a black, fur on inside, trench jacket. I have my hood on and I'm wearing black gloves. Instead of my normal leather boots, I have on black, fuzzy boots. I'm wearing my normal navy blue, sleeveless, skater dress on underneath the jacket. I put a black, oversized sweater on top of my skater dress. I also have on my black leggings.
I look at my watch, 11:59 am. They'll be here any second now. I then see the Millennium Falcon come out of hyper-space. Leia, Han, and Chewie are here!
They land and come off the ship. I run up to them.
"Hey!" I practically yell running up to them.
I embrace my sister in a hug. She is about four months pregnant with twins. It isn't that hard to hug...yet. I go and hug Han and Chewie next.
We head inside, but right before we do I hear a noise. I turn around and see a ship come out of hyper-space. Luke and Mara Jade.
They land and come off. I run up to them and I give my brother a hug. I then give Mara Jade a hug. We all head inside. I'm in the middle with Luke on my left and Leia on my right. Mara is next to Luke, and Han is next to Leia. Then we have Chewie behind us.
"Mom, dad, look who I found!" I say once I walk through the door.
Let's just say for a few minutes it was full of hugs and happiness. Once hugs are done I hear a knock on the door. I walk to the door and I when I open it I see Aunt Analeia and Ander. Again, more hugs! We walk in and we had ten minutes of reunion before we all sat down.
I'm sitting next to Ander and Leia. Ander is on my right with Leia on my left and Han next to her. The joys of a section. With all of us on the sectional, it's almost completely covered.
Oh I missed having my family together. I wish it could be like this all the time.
"So have you decided on names yet?" I ask
"We have not. We are open to suggestions though." Leia says
"For a boy, Jacen." I say "For a girl, Jaina."
"Not bad. I kind of like those." Leia says
"Spelled in a different way or..." Han questions.
"Jacen is spelled J-A-C-E-N. Jaina is spelled
J-A-I-N-A." I suggest.
Han and Leia look at each other.
"Have you thought of names before, Anika?" Luke asks.
"...maybe." I say
"Okay then." Leia says
We spend several hours talking, laughing, drinking hot chocolate. I wish it could be like this all the time.
