Epilogue

I wake up to screams of the baby girl in the crib a few feet away from the bed. I had Oriana about three weeks ago. I get out of bed and pick her up. She has dark brown hair like I have and the grey eyes like her father. I pick her up and slowly rock her in my arms.

I walk to the kitchen with Oriana in my arms. I get a bottle of milk from the baby bag cooler. The cooler keeps the milk the temperature it's supposed to be. I have Oriana drink the milk. About half way through the bottle, Ander comes out.

"I can't believe she slept all night." Ander says

"What?" I ask

"Oriana, slept all night." He says "Anika, it's 7:00 am."

I look at the clock. It is 7:00 am. I am really tired because usually I notice these things.

"Do you need to stay home and sleep?" Ander asks putting his hands on my upper arms.

I look at him.

"No, I can make it through the day." I say

"You sure." He questions

"I'm sure." I say "My mom doesn't have any meetings today. She is probably just doing paperwork. I can see if my mom can babysit for a few hours."

"Okay." He says

After thirty minutes, the three of us are dressed and ready to go. We head to the Jedi Temple. Once we land on the platform, we head inside. Candra, of course, comes up to us and picks up Oriana from my arms.

"Hi Oriana." Candra says in a baby voice "You two, both look really tired."

"Last night was the first night in three weeks that she has slept through the night." I say

"Wow." She says

"Yeah," I say taking Oriana back into my arms "I was just about to drop her off at my moms office."

"Well, if you ever need or want a few hours off, I will be happy to take her." Candra says

"Thank you. I might just take you up on that." I say

Ander and I continue to walk to my moms office. When we get there my mom is sitting at her desk working on some paperwork.

"Hey mom." I say walking through the door.

"Hi." She says walking up to us.

"Thanks for taking her for a few hours." I say thankfully.

"Any time." Mom says

After we drop Oriana off we head to the Jedi Council. Obi-Wan told us that we both had to come and be informed about something.

We walk into the Council room and I see most of the members. I see my dad, Obi-Wan, Mace Windu, Yoda, Plo-Koon, and several others.

"Anika, Ander, we called you her today to give you a mission. You two are-" Obi-Wan starts but I interrupt him.

"Master Obi-Wan, no disrespect, but Ander and I can't both be gone on a mission. We have to take care of Oriana, we have to-" I say but Obi-Wan interrupts me.

"Anika, we are giving you two a few weeks off from work, so the both of you can get as much rest as possible." Obi-Wan says "Over the last two-three weeks we have noticed that the two of you are really tired and at points not thinking properly. The Council has agreed to give you two three weeks off. You can go home once we are done, and starting tomorrow, your three weeks start."

"Thank you, Masters." Ander says

"Yes, thank you." I say

"You are dismissed." Obi-Wan says

We leave the room, head to my moms office to pick up Oriana, and we head home. When we get home Oriana is sleeping in my arms. We walk over to the couch. Ander lays down, I lay in between his legs with Oriana in my hands. Oriana's head is facing the back cushion. After a while we are all asleep. I fall asleep with one thought: this is my life, this is new beginning.
