Louis //

Ella and I are just over a few minutes away from the cemetery now. I can still barely breath; I have Liam's dead body in the back of my car.. and i'm responsible for his death. I keep overthinking. If the cops find out it was me, i will go to jail. I will receive a life sentence, thrown behind bars until i am old and am living off my last few breaths. This is going to scar my entire life...i can never look at myself the same way again. I'm a murderer.

But then i look over to the girl on my right sat quietly in the passenger seat, fumbling nervously with her fingers and all of my reassurance is restored. She turns her head and catches my gaze. And despite the awful, scaring, unbelievable situation, she sends me a warm smile. God she's so beautiful. I'm so so glad i got to save her. She trusts me now, she's comfortable with me now and that's all i've wanted for so long. To gain her trust in me.

However, now...i just need to find a way to get her to love me back.

Finally, we arrived at the cemetery, and i park up on the sidewalk; i don't plan on staying long. Ella and I then both jump out of the car and i open the back door, and sling Liam over my shoulder. Ella keeps and eye out, making sure we are the only ones here, and sends me a nod. I then follow behind her, my wide eyes scanning the area rapidly, my heart punching frantically at my rib cage. Liam sure is one heavy son of a bitch, but i don't want to look weak in front of Ella, so i keep my cool.

Ella slowly pushes open the cemetery gate, and we enter the grave yard. I receive an unwelcoming and unpleasant vibe as soon as i walked into that cobbled path. Tombstones and weeded grass surrounded me and in front of me stood the monstrous church. Sombre and dismal. The moon shone from behind the towering building, creating a silhouette in the darkness of the cold night. Everything i saw or heard made me flinch. We need to get in and out. Fast.

"Ok, i'll find a fresh grave to dump him in and you go find a shovel." I whisper, despite the lack of people around us. Ella just nods and flee's off on the search.

Having scanned every grave, i come across thousands that have been here since the 1960s and my shoulder is starting to ache like crazy. Liam is not at all as light as he looks. Trust me.

Finally, i groan in relief as i spot freshly over turned soil and slowly easy the body off my shoulder and lay him on the ground. My heart is still beating at 90 miles per hour and i have a huge adrenaline rush from the shock of what happened not long ago, though i still stand patiently awaiting Ella's return.

"I found one!" Ella whisper shouts, racing out from behind the back of the church, carrying a large shovel in her small, delicate hands. She is a little out of breath once she reaches me and i take the shovel from her grasp.

"Nice one"

She looks back and forth between me and the grave before her eyebrows come together in worry.

"Louis, i'm scared." Ella panics, wrapping her arms around her small body. I turn to look at her. "What if the police track him down somehow, and this all comes leading back to us? You know how long police carry out murder investigations, Louis? Years! By the time i'm forty this investigation will still be going and they won't stop until they find the body or the murderers! It's very rare that they will ever close a case, and i don't want to be sent off to jail away from my future kids and future husband!"

"Ella!" I quickly intervene, clamping my hands (gently) around her forearms and looking her dead in the eyes. "You can't worry about this right now. I'm sorry, i don't mean to sound like an asshole but we have to do this quickly before someone finds us trying to dispose of a dead body and we get sent to jail today. So please just help me do this and we can both have time to mourn and worry later ok?"

Even though i did sound like the worlds biggest jerk, basically telling her to shut up and get over it so i can bury her boy friends dead body, she accepts my words and nods lightly. I admire her bravery and courage and give her a tepid smile, considering i couldn't even pull a real smile right now.

After a moment of preparation, Ella keeps look out while i dig up every last grain of soil from this grave, and heave it into a pile by the side. Despite the fact that it is a fresh grave, the smell still seems to have kicked in already and i find myself gagging. The sight now before me as i have dug up as much soil as possible makes both Ella and i hold our hands over our mouths and noses, preventing the stench of death crawling from into our senses.

"Ok" I exhale, grabbing Liam by the ankles, and dragging his lifeless body across the muddy grass until he dropped into the small pit, on top of the body below him. A woman now showing bone through her thin layer of withering away skin. I nearly vomitted at the sight of small maggots feasting at the flesh around her eyes and i was quick to shovel up a large portion of dirt and throw it into the grave.

"Oh my-" Ella gags, turning away having seen it too. Seconds later, she is reaching by the side of the church, her hand placed on the cold stone of the brick wall while her other rests on her stomach. I just continue to fill the hole until it looks like it did before we arrived.

Ella's words from before were all that i could hear in my head:

"By the time i'm forty this investigation will still be going"

"What if the police track him down somehow?"

"You know how long police carry out murder investigations, Louis? Years!"

"they won't stop until they find the body or the murderers!"

However, the one that seemed to shake me up the most is the one that should probably the least of my worries at the minute, given the circumstances. But it's the one that i knew was in result of my stupid actions: "Louis, i'm scared"

Of course she is scared; we just buried a dead body for christ sake! I mean, i'm scared too. But she shouldn't have to be scared. She shouldn't be in this mess anyway! I should have done something. I knew from the start something was off about Liam, hell i even heard him scheming to harm Ella back near the elevators yet i did jack shit about it! I am the reason Ella is currently crying and vomiting by the church wall. I am the reason she is terrified right now. I am the reason she was abducted by Liam and nearly almost killed. I am the reason she was dragged from that parking lot against her own will to find out all this time she had been betrayed by her former boyfriend/best friend.

All of her anxieties and worries she has today is because of me and i don't think i can forgive myself for that.
