The night after (tmnt) [old]

Chapter 3

Leo and Donnie entered Raph's room, where they found Raph giving Mikey a hug. Crying. Like them.

Leo and Donnie both climed onto Raph's bunk, and joined in the hug.

Raph had not wanted the others to see him cry, but it was to late now. Besides they were crying too. This was hard for  all of them. They had all lost everything apart from themselves.  They had lost Splinter. The tricereton would pay. Raph heard Splinters voice in his head, telling him revenge was not the way. Raph remembered all the ggood times with Splinter, Christmas, their birthday, training... He clutched Mikey  and Leo harder (Donnie was on the other side), so as to feal omething that hadn't been destroyed.

Mikey didn't know what to think. Usually he tried to think of something happy, but now what ever he thought of made him sad. Ice cream kitty, she was gone. TV was gone, and S-Splinter. Mikey cried harder, and realised that Leo and Donnie where here to. And they were also crying. Tha just showed how bad things were. . The last time Leo had creid had been... when they where 6 and he had lost his teddy bear in the sewers forever. But this was worse. That had been more of  a tantrum. This was just sad. Because of splinter. Because he was gone. Forever. 

Donnie found a little comfort in the fact that his brothers were all with him. But he was still sad. Really sad. The fact that all his brothers, even Raph, were crying, made it seem more real. Raph hadn't cried since that cave in, in the sewers when they were 8. A peace had fallen on him and broken his shoulder. But that was from pain. This was physcological. There father, master, Splinter was dead. For real. 

Leo hugged his brothers, and tried to empty his mind. Like in meditation, that Splinter had taught him. Splinter. The same thought kept coming back. Splinter waas dead. It persisted, annoying him, and hurting him.  The only thing left was his brothers. He woundered if he would ever get used to life in space. 

They would keep training, without Splinter, and next time the Tricereton tried to blow up a planet they would be ready.
