Like the Finest Chocolate

Like the finest of chocolates

Or the most decadent of wines

I must measure my doses of you

Because I fear

If I have to much of you at once

I may loose control

Over indulge

For you are the sweetest part of me

The crème de la crème

You are the concentration of sunshine

The epitome of joy

And without you

My days are a dank grey blur

So my darling

Though I cannot have all of you

Not all at once

I beg that you allow me

Small doses

Passing moment

Numbered minutes on swift wings

To make my days

Not so grey

So I will continue measuring doses

Savoring every moment

I have with you

Until the day

That we can overindulge

Having all of each other

And loose control together
