Until Another Day

23 4 4

Over the river and through the woods

We cannot do all we thought we could

Oh but there is so much, much more

Things that for us there are in store.

What can we do this fine day

It is to hot to do anything they say

But I say we can have some fun

So much to do before the day is done.

We will chase lightning bugs all the way

But me must avoid the fray

There is only so much we can do

Before our time is through.

We must stay safe, we must have fun

We must always be on the run

We must keep watching over our shoulder

We must stay warm as the earth grows colder.

Give me something that I can say

To make everything here okay

But I fear I must go away

To avoid the growing fray

I beg you to wait here and stay

Until I can come back another day.
