"Camila.. Will you be my girlfriend?"Camila felt the heat rising in her cheeks, and couldn't help but smile the biggest smile in the world. Finally.
She looked into Lauren's eyes, taking everything in. The greenness of her eyes, the messiness of her hair, her cinnamon covered Starbucks uniform, the way that she was clasping her hands together so tightly, solely due to nerves.
Camila had never seen someone so beautiful.
"Yes, Lauren. It would be my absolute pleasure."
The corners of Lauren's full, pouty lips turned upwards, as she grabbed her new girlfriend closer, and finally closed the space between their lips.
Camila couldn't help but start giggling mid-kiss, unable to take in everything that was happening. While she was normally this person who wanted to plan everything out, with no room for surprises, Lauren was, by far, the biggest unexpected surprise in her eighteen years of life.
Also, Lauren was literally the only person in the entire world who could make out with her surrounded by people in this big city, and even with random tourists staring at them, Camila couldn't care less.
In fact, she loved every second of it.
Lauren finally pulled away, and cupped Camila's face with both of her hands. They both smiled at each other, then Lauren continued to kiss her girlfriend's cheeks over and over. It's official: Camila had never blushed so hard in her life.
"So, what are your plans for today, girlfriend?" Lauren asked, receiving a nudge from the tiny brunette. Who knew that a simple title could make somebody so happy?
"I was actually just going to go back to the apartment and relax for a little. Now that the break is coming up, I can finally breathe for a little bit."
Lauren gasped. "I completely forgot about that! Holy shit babe, this is exactly what I needed. My art history professor has been so hard on me this semester, I definitely need a little break."
Camila frowned. "Now this is why you should buy a planner, like I told you to do!"
Lauren rolled her eyes. "Sorry babe, but you can't be forcing me to buy anything Lily Putzer, okay?"
Camila shoved her playfully, acting offended. "Excuse me, Ms. Jauregui, it's Lily Pulitzer. Get it right."
"Yeah, Pultzier. Whatever. Tomato, tomato."
Camila giggled, reaching for Lauren's hand. They walked hand in hand towards Camila's apartment, not caring about the length of the walk in this shitty weather.
Just when they were about two blocks away, it started to downpour. The girls started running, having no regard for anyone around them.
Once they reached the building, they started taking the stairs to Camila and Dinah's apartment. Luckily, Lauren was there to prevent Camila for tripping on the soaking wet steps, and they made it there successfully.
"So," Lauren said, breaking the comfortable silence. "There was something that I wanted to ask you.. You know, now that we're official, and all."
"Sure babe, what's up?" Camila asked. Only at this point did she realize that the green eyed girl seemed to be nervous, once again.
"So, you know, there's this thing called social media.. I just realized that we've never posted any photos together.. You know, as a couple, and.. I don't know. I know that those types of things may not matter to some people, but.. I don't know.. I kind of want to-"
