We decided to drive from Virginia to New York. Chris didn't feel like flying and plus we had too many things. I just rested my head against the window as we were an hour and a half away from my childhood home. Ciara and CJ were in the back sleep.

"Can you pull over at the next stop.? I have to use the bathroom." I said

"Sure baby." Chris said looking over at me

He turned his attention back to the road and then looked back at me.

"You glad to be back home?" He asked

"Yeah. I missed it here. My family and friends. I can't wait to see Trey and Keri."

"Trey and Keri?"

"Yeah. Me and Keri been friends since junior high and me and Trey hung out every summer. He lived in Virginia. Him and Keri been together since he moved to New York in our Senior year."

"Dang."

"He's cool bae. You two will be cool."

"Yeah." He mumbled

"Don't be like that Chris." I said texting Keri

"Be like what?" He questioned

"How you're acting."

"How I'm acting?" He questioned

"Just drive to the next stop." I said putting my head phones in.

I turned on Pandoria and my Whitney Houston station was on. I didn't realize I was falling asleep until Chris woke me up.

"Baby? Wake up. Go use the bathroom." He said

"The kids okay?"

"Yeah. I gave them a snack about 15 minutes ago."

"Need anything while I'm in there?"

"Just another bottle of water."

I went into the store. I handled my business and then got Chris his water, then left for the truck.

"Almost done with the gas." He said

He finished up and got back in the truck. We started driving again and I was drifting back to sleep. I felt Chris grab my hand and lock our fingers together. Next time I woke up, it was 8:30 PM and we were just pulling up to our house. The kids were still sleep. So we just carried them in and laid them on our couch. We only had some furniture, beds, couches, and tables and all that. Chris's cousins was bringing the rest in the u-haul in the morning. This house was beautiful. I was in awe. Chris really bought this house.

"Do you like it?" He asked wrapping his arms around me from behind

"I love it." I said

"Good. I went all out for ya." He said as I turned to face him

"Thank you." I said as he pecked my lips

"Your welcome." He said taking my hand and leading me upstairs to the kids room.

"Here is Ciara's room."

"Awww. She is gonna love it."

"I know. She's my little girl so I gotta treat her like a princess." He said smiling to himself

"You're a great father. Keep it up."

"CJ's room?"

"Yeah."

"Then our room." He said happily

"Watch it. I'm going to bed soon."

"Ouch. That hurt." He said
