"Yeah, I can keep them tonight." I said to Ashley as she explained she had to go to class tonight so she needed me to keep the twins and Jace. "Okay, 9:00." She said before hanging up. I pulled out my keys and walked into Nia's Condo in LA. "Nia!" I called through the condo. "Nia" I called again. "Why you calling my name like that?" She said walking out her bedroom. "You heard me the first time."
"I did, but why you here?"
"To see you."
"Mmm." She sarcastically commented. "Why you tripping?"
"Im not tripping."
"Yes,you are. I know this ain't about me staying at my baby mama house. I told you I-"
"I know, I believe that you are truly over her and I trust you but my problem is I don't trust her. Hell I don't even know her. From what you've told me; in the past, you have a problem with running back to her whenever she calls."
"Nia trust me. I believe that back and forth between Eva and I is done. That girl hates my soul. She can barely look at me After everything I "put" her through she won't even talk to me. So that part of my life is over."
"Okay August I believe but those high school games aren't me, Im 32 years old. Established in every aspect of life except my love life. And im letting you in and trusting you but if you're going to be here I need 100%; all of you not just bits and pieces. I can't continue to be put second to everyone else. You kids I can handle but that's it."
Its true. Nia is way older than me, but i think thats what attracted me to her. She wasn't like Ashley and Eva. She was mature, she knew what she wanted and knew how to get it.
"Im promise im here for you 100%" I said before pecking her lips. "Mmhuh.. So how about we go out tonight? Im thinking dinner? movie?"
I sighed and walked away from her. She wasn't going to like my answer. "I can't, I promised Ashley I'd keep the kids while she goes to class."
"Okay. So how about I finally meet your girls?"
My eyes shot open. I knew for a fact meeting Mani was a no and probably a no on the twins.
"Nia , im not sure about that. Eva's not letting anyone around Armani and Im not sure how Ashley feels about other women around the kids. And I want to respect their wishes."
She rolled her eyes "Okay August, well im about to go out so I think you should leave."
"Really Nia?"
"Bye August!"

I was sitting in the lawn chair in Chris's backyard, isolating myself from everyone. I really didn't want to be here but I can't lock my kids up in the house, as much as I wanted to I just couldn't do it. I looked down at my phone and seen that it was 5:30. Because it was summer it would be getting dark in about 30 minutes, meaning I should probably be getting home.
"Hey, I didn't know you were here." Apryl, Chris's friend, said walking over to me. I know her from a few years ago but we were never really friends. "Yeah."
"You look good, its been awhile since I've seen you. How've you been doing?"
"I've been good, just trying to make it. You know?"
"Yeah. Well it was great running into you. Where are the girls?"
"Somewhere around here. Where's your son? He's big now ain't it."
"Yes, and into everything. I need to get his bad self home so he can go to school tomorrow."
I chuckled. "It was nice seeing you again." "You too. Get my number from Chris. We have to hang out soon." I nodded and waited for her to walk away. I got up from my seat and began looking for Chris. I found him standing over by one of the moon walks talking to his home boy.
"Hey, Chris Im about to head out. Thanks for inviting us." I said trying to get it out quickly so I don't interrupt his conversation for to long.
"Can you stay a little longer?"
"How longer?"
"A hour?" I hesitated before nodding my head.
***************** Four Hours Later 9:30 pm*****************
I was in Chris's kitchen with Armani, London, and Royalty making chocolate chip cookies in pajamas that we convinced Chris into buying before he left us here two hours ago. Where did he go?
I have no clue. but I was having fun with the girls. So far we have watched Frozen, Princess and the frog and half of Cinderella.

"Yeah I gotta get back to the house. 'perciate you coming down here and dropping this verse on the is song." I said to Wale as I looked down at my watch and noticed it was 11:00 at night. I told Eva I would be gone for at least an hour at the most but we got deep into this session.
"All good man. Anytime." I dapped him up before walking out of the studio and pulling my car keys out of my pocket.
I walked in my house, it was pitch dark and all I could here was the sound of the TV coming from the living room. I walked further in and seen Eva knocked out on the couch with the girls laying on top of her. I smiled before grabbing the remote and turning the TV off. I grabbed Royalty before grabbing Armani causing Eva to wake up. "Im just laying them up stairs." She closed her eyes. I took all the girls upstairs before returning to the couch with Eva. This time she was awake and looking at me.
I smiled "Why you looking at me like that?" I asked before lifting up her feet and sitting down.
"Nothing."
"You sure?"
She sat up and climbed onto my lap. Straddling me. "Thank you." She said before kissing me.

I woke up the next morning in my bed with my arms wrapped around A naked Eva. I got out of bed and threw on some boxers and sweat pants. I wanted to get up before everyone else to clear my head. I walked out onto my balcony and looked at the view. I had a lot on my mind from my daughter, my music, and this stuff going on with Eva.
"Hey." I turned around and seen Eva leaning in the door. "Wassup." I motioned her to come over towards me. She walked over towards me and stopped in front of me. I pulled her into my lap. "I just need this to stay simple."
"Me too." I pushed her hair back and kissed her forehead as she laid her head on my shoulder.
