After the performance I walked off the staged behind the crew as they ran off and cheered in excitement. I looked around and smiled. I was proud of the performance and my big accomplishment.I had a feeling this would open up so many doors for me and I'll be standing there ready to greet them.
"Eva." Parris called my name breaking my thoughts. "Wassup." I answered. "After the show we're going to Chris's club appearance. You coming?" I shook my head. "No, mommy duties."
"Oh Come on."
"Next time. I promise."
She nodded her head before her in the rest of the groping went further backstage probably to their dressing room. I stood by the stage and watched as Chris sung the end of Don't Judge Me.
"Let it beautiful. yeah yeah yeah. I don't wanna go there.baby. we should never go there." He came off stage while everyone applauded.
"That was good." I said to him once he reached me. "Im proud of you." He said hugging me. I smiled "Thanks."
"Well Im about to leave and get the kids before it gets too late."
"You not gone stay?" I shook my head. "No. I really wanna celebrate with my kids." He nodded. "Okay drive safely. I'll talk to you later." He hugged me again and kissed my forehead before running off down the hall cheering.
I walked to the exit and walked to my car parked. I got in and drove over to my dads.
I walked inside and the house was rather quiet for my kids to be there. The only thing on was the living room tv. I walked in farther and seen Jordan on the couch dozing. I kicked off my heels and snuggled up next to him resting my head on his shoulder. "Hey baby bro." I spoke waking him up completely. "Wassup sis." I looked at the t.v and noticed him watching the Grammys.
"Whatchu watching?"
"I was at the gym during the show so I recorded it so I can watch you." I smiled big. "That's so cute." I dragged the cute out. He chuckled and playfully patted my head. "Yeah Yeah. Im really proud of you big sis. With everything that went down you still decided not to give up."
"Don't make me cry. Thank you....You know Jordan I'm truly sorry for abandoning you. There is no excuse in the world for me leaving for all of those years and me not reaching out. We had such a tight bond and over the years we've definitely drifted and I really just want it back. You were my best friend." I confessed.
"I missed you too big head." He hugged me. I wiped a tear I found falling from my eyes. "Are you crying?" He asked. I shook my head. "Just my allergies. Y'all should really dust around here." He shook his head and laughed. "Sure cry baby."
"Anyways. Where are my churrrennn?"
"Upstairs watching a movie if they aren't sleep by now." I got up from the couch and walked upstairs and headed to my old bedroom. Before going in I noticed my dad's bedroom door was cracked . I knocked on the door and pushed it open. I seen he was sleeping so I turned around to head out. "Hey princess." He spoke in a raspy voice. "Hey daddy." I turned back around and walked back into the room. "Come lay with me." I climbed in the bed and crawled up next to him resting my head on his chest. "Im proud of you princess. Honestly. I know I've said a lot of mean thing and done a-"
"Dad, No. You don't have to apologize, I should be the one apologizing. All this time I was so angry with you I never stopped and actually realized you only did what you did to protect me daddy. Im sorry."
He kissed the top of my head and we just lay there enjoying each others company and time for 10 minutes.
"Im going to start making this once a week thing. My kids just laying with dad like old times."
