The week went by pretty quick. Today was Saturday and also one of the biggest days in my career. Tiffany agreed to watch the kids today since I would be extremely busy. I packed all of the things that I would need for the day in my backpack and grabbed my purse. I joined everyone in the kitchen where Tiffany had just prepared breakfast.
"You eating before you leave?" She asked.
"No, Imma grab something a little later thanks anyways." I kissed all of the kids before leaving out of the garage. On my way out Dave was pulling in the drive way. Lately he has been leaving out the house two; three o'clock in the morning then coming in around 10:00 am. I had some idea of what he was doing but it really isn't my business.
"Wats up?" He spoke as we both rolled down or windows.
"Nothing heading to work."
"Yeah that's right you got that show tonight. Goodluck."
I nodded and waved bye before continuing out of the drive way.
It took me about 30 minutes to reach the Staples center. I got out the car and grabbed my things handing the keys to the temporary assistant they gave me for the job.
"Thank you."
I walked into the building and greeted my team. I reminded them that today should go smoothly as possible and If any problems surfaced to let me know so we could solve them together.
The day consisted of making sure all of the props were here and ready to go. All sound checks went smoothly and every performer showed up. After working long and hard with my team I left to get ready for the show. Naomi met me at the hotel room I booked close by to style me with her team for the awards.

"You didn't think a simple dress would suffice? This is too much" I asked coming out.
"Nope, every woman there tonight will have on a simple dress. You need to stand out" Naomi said fixing my hair
"Eh. You're the stylist so I'll take your advice. Thanks sister."
After I finished allowing her team to put on the bob wig I thanked them and went down stairs to meet the car service that came to pick me up. When we arrived to the venue. I immediately went backstage to make sure everything was set before heading back out to do a quick red carpet walk and a few interviews. Now was time for the opening act and I was nerves and hoped everything went according to planned.
I walked with Usher towards the stage where he would be performing. Of course I gave the opening spot to my brother and law. Why wouldn't I? His music and everything he has done in the industry makes him a legend.
"I got this lil sis. Gone and have your seat and enjoy the show. " He hugged me and walked on the stage as the music started.
