::August::

E basically locked herself in the room the remainder of the night. It was around 2am and I had put the kids to sleep. I was laying in my room; Awake. I awoke to the sound of Asher cries. I picked him up and walked upstairs to grab him a bottle. Lucky me they were all gone. I really hated the fact to go wake Eva but Ash needed to eat.

I slowly creeped into her room and saw her back facing the door. "Eva." I said lowly.

"Yes." She answered.

"He ran out of milk. Do you want to feed him or pump milk?"

She sat up in the bed revealing her face.

"Give him here." She said emotionless. Usually when Asher came into the room she would get all excited and tried to make him smile and laugh. This time she simply just took him from my arms and began feeding him not even acknowledging him.

"How are you holding up?"

"Im good." Once again she sounded emotionless.

"I remember the first time I met your dad. Mr.Lawrence was ready to kill me. I understand how he feels now. Let one of the girls come home pregnant man..." I tried to get her to talk but she ignored me.

"Eva Baby, Look at me. I know how it feels to lose a parent. I know you are the strongest woman I've ever met but it's okay to cry baby girl. I'm here for you. If you want to talk- No. You're going to talk to me or you can sit here and cry and I'll just comfort you."

"I just don't understand. I mean I know he's done things wrong; everyone does. But this a man who dedicated his life to god. Daddy tried his hardest to right his wrongs and do good by us. It kills me my children won't have him around. It hurts me Lucas won't have a father and Amanda lost her husband. But it hurts even more because I lost my go to. My best friend, my dad was my everything!"  She cried.

"August I don't know life without my dad. How do I continue on?"

I hugged her. "I wondered the same thing when my mom died. Eva I wish I was there and I had the opportunity to spend time with her before she left. Your dad went the way he wanted surrounded by his wife and kids and everyone who loves them. Don't stress yourself trying to look for an explanation why just know he's in a safe place. Your father loved you more than anything in this world."

I wiped her tears. "Don't cry baby girl. I hate having to sit here and wipe your tears because I don't like watching you cry. That beautiful smile of yours will light up a whole damn village; not half but a whole damn village. Can I  see it?"

She looked down. "Remember what I said about that looking down stuff." I brought up what I told her when we first met back in high school.

She looked up and gave me a fake smile. "I'll take it." I kissed her forehead. "Damn lil man you still eating? My boy gone be titty man just like his daddy." I said causing her to laugh.

"Ah, There we go." I said finally getting something real out of her.

"Here you go." She said as she pulled Asher off her boob and covered back up before laying back down. I burped Asher until he fell back asleep. I got up and got ready to head back to my room until she spoke.

"Can you guys stay in here with me? You know until I fall asleep. I was enjoying the company." She said lowly.

"Yeah. That's no problem." I put Asher in the bassinet inside of her room and slid into the other side of the bed facing her.

"Do you remember the first time we actually talked to each other in high school?" I asked

"The night I bumped into you?"
