I sat on the couch in Eva's living room shaking my leg.
We had been up since last night waiting for 8:00. The meet with Kia and the bomb she dropped on Eva kept everyone up last night. It was now 7:50.
"Are you sure you want to go through with this? Eva I told you I got you. By the time the next hour comes you and the kids will be out of the country." I heard Chris say to Eva as she was freaking out.
You can tell she was thinking about what he had just said to her. "Whatchu mean you gone take her and my kids away? You tripping mane' and your over stepping your boundaries."
"Yeah well you had your chance and you ruined that so...."
I stood up and began walking towards him. Ion know he think he talking to but he got me fucked up fr.
"Really? Are yall really about to do this right now?" She said before going up stairs.
I looked at Chris before going up the stairs before he could. I went to her room door and knocked on it before going in.
"Eva." I called out. I heard the water running in her bathroom so that's where I went. She was standing in the mirror washing her face. "Look my bad, Ian mean the act like that it's just..."
"Isn't funny how Im always dealt the bad card. I lost my mother at a young age, but I survived that. Moved on learned to live with it. Then I learn my dad is a liar and almost lost him, I made it through that. Got pregnant let everyone down, but that mistake was the best thing that happened to me so I made it through that. Turn around and I get my heart broken time and time again, but not without gaining to beautiful kids. I almost died, I made it through that. Then I find out my whole life has been a complete life. Fall back into your arms, I get hurt again, Lost my daughter, lost my unborn and almost died but I made it through it all. The crazy thing is I just don't know how much more I can make it through. When will it end..."

I looked behind me once I heard the doorbell ring.
She wiped the tears falling from her eyes and stood up straight. She looked at herself in the mirror again before walking out. I followed behind her.

I walked down the stairs. It felt like my heart was about to beat out of my chest. I walked to the front door and placed my hand on the door knob and paused before opening it. I took a deep breath and opened the door.
In walked Kia, once again dressed in black with her hood on her head.
"We don't have long. Where's Armani?" She said as if she was out of breath.
I walked into the living room followed by everyone. She seemed like she was scared out of her mind and I wanted to know why.
"What do you mean we don't have long?"
"Let me see Armani, then I'll explain everything."
I rolled my eyes before going upstairs. I went into the guest room and grabbed Armani out of the bed. I kissed her forehead as I carried her to the front room. I put her down and began waking her up.
