Chapter 11-The Talent Show

LOUIS' POV

Eleanor and I make a fine team, we completed our art project before any of the other groups so needless to say, we're killing it. I'm not modest at all. Judge me. Anyway, now we're just chilling on the beach and listening to songs. One of my favourite songs, "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson comes on and I guess El loves it as well because she starts jamming out. I laugh at her cuteness and start singing along with her. 

I realize though, that her voice is absolutely amazing. It's so pure and strong and probably better than my own so I stop singing to listen to her angelic voice.

"Why'd you stop singing?" Eleanor asks.

"Because you're incredible! I wanted to admire your voice," I answer.

Just then, the rest of the squad, Liam, Niall, and Harry approach us. They probably heard us singing and dancing.

"Eleanor, you're voice is better than I thought," Niall said, clearly impressed.

"But not as good as Louis," Harry replied with a goofy smile on his face.

"Anything to get his attention," Liam smiled while rolling his eyes.

"You should enter the talent show at camp this year, I'm sure you would be a qualified candidate," Niall offered. "You could probably win."

"Ehhhh....I don't know... I've never sung in front of anyone before, I normally just sing in the shower or in the car," Eleanor replied unsure about the idea. "I'll think about it."

"Great, the sign up sheets are in the main office, it's a great opportunity" Niall encouraged. "We gotta go but, think about it!" 

This was perfect, Eleanor had to enter.

"I really do think it's a good idea," I started. "You singing in front of everyone, showing off your hidden talent, it'll be phenomenal."

"I'll do it if you perform with me," she stated.

"Hm, I agree on one condition, you need to sing some solos," I say matter-of-factly. 

"Fine, you have a deal," she says. "But you'll be singing some solos as well right?"

"No promises," I reply with a wink.

I'm so sorry that this chapter was so short!! I haven't really been in the mood to write lately so yeah :/ I've been reading more lately in class (as an excuse to not pay attention) so many that's why I don't want to write as much idk. Anyway, I finally got around to read this book called "I Am Number Four" which was one of the best decisions EVER. IT IS SO GOOD AND I CANT BELIEVE I HAVENT READ IT UNTIL NOW. And I'm so close to 200 reads!!! YAYYY! Thank you all for reading even though I don't update as often as I would like <3
