"It's about time you got home," Sylvie said as she leaned against the wall crossing her arms, Kelly turning around and facing the door, closing and locking it behind him. "Sorry," he replied as he slid off his jacket and hanged it on a hook, looking at Sylvie. "Your son went to bed crying," she told him as she walked towards him, Kelly sighing. "What why?" "He's upset about what happened earlier today and he doesn't like the fact that you went out and drank the night away" "I didn't drink the night away... What the heck are you talking about?" "Kelly you know what? I'm sick and tired-" Sylvie started to say but was interrupted when Kelly pressed his lips against hers, gently running his hands down her back. When Kelly pulled back, Sylvie was breathless, gasping to catch air. "Why'd you stop?" Sylvie asked raising an eyebrow, Kelly smirking. "I thought you wanted me to?" "I'd never want you to!" Sylvie exclaimed as Kelly leaned back in and picked Sylvie up into his arms, carrying her to their bedroom and shutting the door. Once inside, Kelly laid Sylvie on their bed, crawling on top of her and kissing her neck, Sylvie laughing. "You smell like beer!" she exclaimed, Kelly shrugging. "Sorry my bad. I didn't think we would be doing this," Kelly replied as Sylvie ran her fingers through his hair, pecking his cheek. "I love you, you know that right?" Sylvie asked, Kelly staring down into her eyes, slightly nodding his head. "I love you more," Kelly replied as Sylvie kissed his lips, Kelly rolling onto his side and snuggling Sylvie close and gripping her, never wanting to let go. "Kelly," Sylvie whispered between kisses, Kelly pulling back and smiling. "I love when you say my name," he told her as there was a knock on the door, Sylvie pulling away and getting out of bed. "Who is it?" "It's a burglar mom," Peyton moaned as Sylvie opened the door, Peyton walking into the room, locking eyes with Kelly. "Do you think you can just disappear?" Peyton asked angrily as he walked over and crossed his arms, Kelly sitting up. "Watch your tone with me" "No, you don't get it. All you do is run away from your problems" "Says the one that uses his hands to solve his problems!" Kelly yelled, Peyton sadly looking down at the floor, a tear rolling down his cheek. "Peyton I..." "Leave me alone!" Peyton cried as he ran up the stairs, slamming his room door. "And the moron of the year award goes to..." Sylvie said as Kelly sat on the bed, placing his hands on the back of his head. "Who?" "Take a guess," Sylvie replied as she crossed her arms, Kelly shaking his head. "I'm such an idiot" "You said it not me."
*Next Shift*
"Alright everyone, Chicago Public School is coming to the firehouse for a field trip," Matt said as he walked outside carrying his radio, Kelly looking up from the squad table. "You mean, our kids are going to be here for the day?" Kelly asked, Matt nodding his head. "Yeah, is that a problem?" "For me it is," Kelly mumbled as he took a sip of coffee, Gabby and Sylvie hopping down from the ambo. "Hey you guys, we're missing some of our inventory," Gabby said as she walked over to Matt, Matt wrapping an arm around Gabby snuggling her close. "What do you mean?" "We're missing about seven needles and our GHB," Sylvie said crossing her arms, Kelly standing up and placing his coffee mug on the table, a worried look spreading across his face. "Has anyone seen Mills?" he asked, Matt looking at him and shaking his head. "I haven't seen him since last shift" "When did the drugs go missing?" Kelly asked, Gabby shrugging. "Has anybody else noticed that he's been a little sluggish on the job?" Matt looked at Gabby and then back at Kelly, shrugging his shoulders. "What's your point Severide?" Kelly looked at everyone before staring down at the floor. "Ever since his father died, he's been on and off. Just yesterday was the thirtieth year anniversary since his father passed away," Kelly told them, Sylvie sighing. "I'll give him a call," she replied pulling out her cellphone, Gabby pulling away from Matt, placing her radio to her mouth. "Ambo 61 to main?" Gabby asked, getting an answer right away. "Go ahead 61" "Ambo 61 is in need of more syringes and GHB," Gabby told them, Matt nodding his head. Gabby bit her lip as she waited for an answer, impatiently tapping her foot. Matt smiled at Gabby as Sylvie walked over, placing her phone in her pocket. "He didn't answer," she mumbled, Kelly walking over and wrapping his arms around her. "Ambo 61?" the dispatcher asked over the radio, Gabby breaking out of her gaze she once held with Matt. "Ambo 61 here" "Your supplies will be ready for pick up at headquarters. Make sure to bring in a report of why you needed more inventory," the dispatcher said, Gabby lowering the radio, staring at Sylvie. "Okay thank you," Gabby replied clipping her radio back to her belt, Sylvie gulping. "What do we do?" "We just say at a call, a homeless man went nuts and stole some of our inventory. It wouldn't be the first time," Gabby said as she walked towards the ambo, Sylvie trailing behind her. "Oh yeah, don't forget the kids school is coming by today for their field trip!" Matt called out as Gabby got in, closing the door. "Got it, Chief," she replied in a flirtatious tone driving off, Matt feeling himself smile wide. "You okay there, Chief?" Kelly mocked, Matt turning around and throwing a newspaper at him, Kelly laughing. "Shut up. Where's your brother anyways? He's always late for shift." Kelly looked at Matt and shrugged. "He had a doctors appointment today," Kelly lied as he walked into the firehouse, Matt following after him. "Kelly..." Matt said as Kelly sat next to Mouch on the couch, Herrmann looking up from his newspaper. "What're you two lug muffins arguing about now?" Herrmann asked, Kelly turning around on the couch and glaring at Herrmann, Herrmann rolling his eyes. "Kelly, we both know that isn't true," Matt told him as Kelly turned back around on the couch and stared at the tv screen, Matt crossing his arms and sighing. "Fine, you wanna play that game? Squad 3 get up. Thanks to your hard headed lieutenant, you all have earned some drills to do!" Matt exclaimed, Kelly standing up from the couch and walking over to Matt, staring him eye to eye. "You're mean you know that?" Kelly asked sounding childish, shoving past Matt and walking outside to the apparatus floor, everyone from truck 81 looking at Matt like he was stupid. "Can I help you?" Matt asked them fixing his collar, Herrmann and Cruz shaking their heads. "Everyday I dread coming to this firehouse," Herrmann said as he took a sip of coffee, Cruz nodding his head. "Tell me about it! It's like high school all over again."
