*1 Week Later*

"Dad..." Alexa mumbled as she walked into her parents room, scratching her head. Kelley stirred in his sleep, suddenly sitting up and rubbing his eyes. "What is it?" "I need a ride to school" "Isn't that the bus drivers job?" Kelly asked as he laid his head back down on the pillow, Alexa rolling her eyes and crossing her arms. "Dad seriously, get up" "I'll get up once you get dressed and wake up your brother," Kelly mumbled before falling back asleep, Alexa sighing as she walked out of the room closing the door behind her, waking up Sylvie. "Kelly!" she exclaimed as she smacked his back, Kelly sitting up, angrily slamming his hand down on the mattress. "What now?!" he asked raising his voice, Sylvie giving him the death stare. "I think someone's in the house" "Yeah, our teenage daughter," Kelly sighed as he laid back down, pulling the blanket up to his chin. Sylvie then pulled the blanket off Kelly's body losing her temper, Kelly sitting up halfway and glaring at Sylvie, exhaling air. "What?!" "How the hell do you know it was Alexa that was in our room?" "Sylvie, she was in here earlier asking me to take her to school. I said I would once she was dressed and woke up Peyton," Kelly explained as he snatched the blanket out of Sylvie's hand, Sylvie biting her lip. "I bet you the Casey's are having an easier morning," Kelly mumbled as he snuggled under the blanket again, Sylvie rolling her eyes. "Cry me a river."

"You guys ready to go?" Matt asked as he stood by the door, Olivia nodding. "I'm more ready than I'll ever be" "Well someone's excited!" Gabby exclaimed as she placed Paul into his carrier, Olivia giggling. "Sorry! It's just that since the middle school dance is tonight, elementary students get to have fun at class today," Olivia replied as Matt opened the door, all of them leaving the house. "What do you think you're going to do today in class?" Matt asked as he opened the car door for Gabby, Gabby snapping  Paul's carrier in the backseat, Olivia sliding in next to him. "We might do what we do on half days" "What would that be?" Gabby asked as she sat in the passengers seat, Matt putting the car into reverse and backing out of their driveway, getting onto the main road. "We usually watch movies and get to do a lot of arts and crafts. What do you think you are going to do today?" Olivia asked them, Matt shrugging. "Well I'm going into work. I don't know about your mother though" "Oh I'm going back," Gabby told him, Matt smirking. "Oh really? You're not going to take the rest of your maternity leave?" "Matt there's only a week left and quite honestly, I can't stand being away from everyone at 51," she replied, Matt smiling. "So what are you going to do about little man?" "Probably bring him to daycare just for today until I can hire a nanny" "Okay well, I'll be sure to sign off on your return," Matt replied as they pulled up to Olivia's school, Matt putting the car into park. "Have a great day punkin," Matt said as Olivia kissed Paul's forehead before giving her parents each a kiss on the cheek, exiting the car. "Bye!" she exclaimed as she ran off, Matt pulling away. "I can't believe how big my baby is getting," Gabby said as she looked at Matt, Matt nodding his head. "I know. It feels like just yesterday I was holding her in truck 81, letting her honk the horn," Matt replied as the memory replayed in his mind, leaving a smile on his face. Gabby saw this and laced fingers with him, giving his hand a light squeeze. "We raise great kids," Gabby told him, Matt pulling up to a red light and looking at Gabby, the same smile on his face. "I couldn't agree more. You know, we can try for number three..." "Alright, now you're pushing it," Gabby told him as Matt chuckled, driving to the daycare.

*ON SHIFT*
"Ah look who's back!" Herrmann exclaimed as Gabby and Matt walked onto the apparatus floor, all the guys getting up and running over to Gabby, wrapping her up in one big hug. "It's great to be back. One thing I didn't miss was the smell you guys somehow manage to put on," Gabby said pinching her nose and laughing, Cruz smirking. "Ah cmon, you know you missed this" "I did, but my nose hairs didn't." Herrmann looked at Gabby and rubbed her shoulder before walking off, Matt walking into the firehouse and heading towards his office. "Good morning Connie," Matt said as he walked past her desk, Connie looking over into Matts office and nodding her head. "Good morning, Chief Casey." Matt smiled at her and held up his cup of coffee, walking around his desk and falling into his chair, taking a sip. His eyes scanned his desk, landing on a pile of paperwork. 'Gabby's maternity papers!' he remembered as he started to search the pile, carefully looking at every piece of paper. "Oh cmon it's gotta be in here somewhere..." Matt mumbled to himself as Herrmann knocked on his office door, Matt looking up and waving him in. Herrmann closed the door behind him and sat in front of Casey's desk, folding his hands on his lap. Matt kept looking through the papers, Herrmann clearing his throat, trying to get his attention. "Chief?" Herrmann asked getting Matts attention, Herrmann chuckling. "You okay there Casey? You've been kind of off ever since you opened up 51 as a safe haven house during the blizzard," Herrmann told him, Matt sighing. "Yeah sorry, I've just been spaced lately," Matt explained as he stood up, placing his hands on his hips. "What can I do for you Herrmann?" Matt asked, Herrmann shrugging. "Nothing, I just came to check up on you since none of these other nitwits make time to talk to you and only care about themselves," Herrmann said, Matt chuckling. "Well, thanks for being concerned," Matt replied as Herrmann stood up and nodded his head, walking towards the door and placing a hand on the knob. "Chief?" Herrmann asked as he turned around and looked at Matt who was searching through another pile of papers, Matt looking up. "Yeah?" "What're you looking for?" Herrmann asked as he looked down at the floor, noticing a sheet of paper resting underneath Matts desk. "Gabby's maternity paper. She needed me to sign it so she could start working this shift. I can't find it anywhere" "Well I think I just did," Herrmann replied as he walked over to the sheet of paper and picking it up from off the floor, handing it to Matt. Matt stared at the paper in his hand, his mouth open. "How?" "Casey if you keep your mouth open any longer I'm going to have to slide on my gas mask. Your breath reeks!" "Get out," Matt chuckled as Herrmann smirked and left the room, Matt placing his hands on his hips and staring down at Gabby's maternity paper. *Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambo 61, Hostage situation. 4329 Westforth* the klaxon reported, Matt quickly picking up a pen and scribbling his signature onto the piece of paper, quickly leaving his office and walking out to the apparatus floor, placing his fire helmet on his head. "Am I ready to report back to work?" Gabby asked as she stood by the ambo, her hand on the handle. "You're good to go!" Matt exclaimed as he winked at her and climbed into his buggy, driving away to the scene. "Kelly we'll talk about this later!" Sylvie yelled as she walked out of the firehouse followed by Kelly, Kelly throwing his hands up in the air. "That's fine with me!" he hollered back as he got into the squad truck, Tony driving out of the firehouse, being followed by truck. "Everything okay?" Gabby asked as Sylvie got into the passengers seat of the ambo, rolling her eyes. "That man doesn't know how to stop running his mouth!" Sylvie exclaimed, Gabby chuckling as she drove out of the firehouse, heading down the same road the trucks were on moments earlier. "What're you two arguing about this time?" "This time?! What, so we argue all the time? Well I'm sorry our relationship isn't like you and Casey's, all Sunshine And Roses" "Sylvie that's not what I meant.." "Just drive, please. Right now we're on shift, and my personal problems can be talked about outside of work" "Well all of us at 51 already hear a earful since you two bring it to work. It happens within the firehouse Sylvie! This isn't just an 'at home' thing," Gabby explained as they neared the scene, Sylvie sighing. "Can we just talk about this later? The bottom line is, that man just doesn't know when to shut up, and I'm sick and tired of hearing him say he's right all the time."
