It was a sunny morning in Konoha, the skies are blue and you can hear the chirping birds and the market owners opening their stalls, amidst all of that crowd a mop yellow can be seen flashing through the crowds until it stopped in front of a familiar house.
"OIII TEMEE HURRY UP!!" shouted the blonde boy, Naruto.
The front door slides open and reveals a raven haired boy, Sasuke.
"Don't be so loud dobe, and you're too early, what's wrong with you"
"Who is that Sasuke" asks a feminime voice, must be Sasuke's mother..
"Just a friend kaa-san"
"Well invite him over for breakfast Sasuke, had he has breakfast?"
"Well you hear what he says, come in dobe, I'm sure you haven't had breakfast unless you call that synthetic noodle of yours a breakfast" said Sasuke sarcastically
"Well I wouldn't mind a free breakfast!" said Naruto with a grin "sorry for the intrusion" he said as he took off his sandals
"Well hello! you must be Sasuke's new friend, Naruto right? Sasuke has been talking about you nonstop" said a familiar face with parallel lines decorating his cheek, he tries to hide it but he looks surprised to see Naruto in person
"not true" said Sasuke
"EEH REALLY?" said Naruto excitedly, he must've think of the number of times he will use that against Sasuke
"Ah, you must be teme's brother, Itachi right?" said Naruto
"teme?" asks Itachi
"Uuh, Sasuke I mean-hehe"
"What are you boys doing in the front door, hurry up and finish your breakfast" shouted Mikoto from the dinner room
"Coming kaa-san" shouted Itachi
"Araa, it's Naruto-kun, come sit here Naruto-kun!" Mikoto said as she shoves a bowl of rice and mat into the dinner table, it's clear to see that Fugaku is giving her a "we'll talk about this later" look but Mikoto seems to ignore him
Sasuke shot Naruto a look that says "just follow what she says", Naruto decided to comply
"Ah thanks, Mikoto-san" said Naruto
The meal resumed and all of them eat in silence as Naruto was unsure what to do, he finished his meal and turns out Sasuke was too. Sasuke got up and motioned Naruto to do so
"Okay, I'll get going kaa-san"
"Ah, don't forget your bento Sasuke, here Naruto I made one for you too" Mikoto said while handing each of them a bento bag
"Thanks kaa-san"
"Ah..thank you Mikoto-san" Naruto said, though if you look closely he was fighting back the tears forming in his eyes.
The duo then got out of the house , outside the Uchiha compund and into the main street.
"Sasuke-kun!" said a girly voice
"AH! Sakura-chan, how come you're here?" asks Naruto
"I took the long route because I thought you guys will pass through this road" she said.
"Ah, I see, by the way today is our "first day" at the academy..huh I never thought I will go back to this place again" said Naruto solemnly
"Well I'm sure Iruka-sense will force you to go back to the Academy if you're going to be the Hokage Narubaka" Sakura said
