I first published this story when I was 12, can't believe it has been 7 years!
By the way, I just wanted to be honest with you, I think I will post chapter 10 either by October or December because my uni schedule is really packed :)

"Well, we are still within Fire country so I guess let's just help our fellow Konoha shinobi'" Sakura sounded her opinion
"It's decided then" Naruto was the one who leads the team towards the battle, as they're approaching the clearing, they can see that it's a heated fight between ANBU's from the hidden mist and hidden leaf, the fight was uneven as the hidden mist have 2 dozen ANBU and hidden leaf only had quarter the amount . More so, two of the Konoha ANBU's are familiar, one had a hound mask with a silver hair and one's a weasel with a raven hair.
"Curse your gut feeling dobe"
"H-Hey, I didn't know okay, besides this may be a chance to save someone?"
"But what if we change something major" Sakura said, uncertain.
"Us being here is already a major change is it not, let's just get on with it"
The two ANBU seems to notice the presence of the trio "Is it a backup?" one of the Konoha ANBU said.
"Uh sure?" Naruto replied, "What's the situation?" asks Naruto to the nearest ANBU medic who's tending the injured.
" We were ambushed, it's supposed to be a simple weekly border scouting and they suddenly appeared" the medic ANBU reported
"What's their problem" Sakura whispered
"Doesn't matter, help now talk later" said Sasuke.
The trio seemed to be reminded by Sasuke's sentence as they scattered to the most needed place. The current situation is bad, 2 ANBU's are injured and seems like the hidden mist ninja has no intention to give up. Naruto scans the area and found that Kakashi has struck down two of the mist ninja with his chidori and Itachi is currently trapping a ninja with his genjutsu. "Hmm, now I'm not so sure that we're needed here" Naruto thinks.
Instant karma, the second after he said that, he spotted a mist ninja sneaking up behind Itachi with a sword ready to kill.
"HEY, BEHIND YOU" Naruto shouted
It was too late, the blade is an inch away from Itachi's neck- suddenly the mist ninja was engulfed in a black fire. Itachi immediately notice that he just escaped death and his eyes searched for his savior, Naruto instinctively diverted his gaze to Sasuke, who just "hmphed" and get back on with the fight.
As there's too many eyes, the trio can't really use their full potential, well save for Sasuke earlier but that's a special....case? Despite that, their presence seems too help a lot.
"SHANAROOO" Sakura shouted as she knocks down three of the hidden mist ninja in one punch
"Who is she?" mutters an ANBU
