Elliot

The next few hours were spent in my bedroom. I had to put all of the photos back up, and with each photo I had a new wave of memory. It was almost painful looking at them, to an extent. Knowing we likely won't be able to get back to that level of companionship.

There was a soft knock on my door, and in came Dean. It took me by surprise, seeing Dean in my bedroom. He is the last person I'd expect to see.

"Are you hear to torture me?" I joke lightly, "What is it?"

"I'm sorry," He told me, "I'm sorry I didn't believe it was the real you from the start. I owe you, I guess."

I smiled over at Dean, "You don't owe me anything," He gave me a confused look, "You were protecting yourself, Sammy, and your home. You would have done the same thing even if I were still around."

He still looked confused, "Hell must've done something to your heart. Five years ago, you would have never forgiven me for torturing you."

"I've missed you guys," I sighed, "I will be as forgiving as I need to be to get us back to usual."

He reached his hand out and scruffed my hair, "We've missed you too, Ellie."

We smiled at each other and then he left. I guess it was late, I lost track of time back in the torture room, I slept when I needed to sleep and stayed awake until I needed to sleep. Right now, it wasn't looking like I was going to sleep anytime soon. I sat on my bed and looked around, stacks of books with layers of dust sat upon the desk and shelves of my bedroom. My bed was still soft but not as soft as it used to feel. Life would soon return to normal, and I think everyone is looking forward to it.

It's four-am and I am yet to sleep, so, instead, I walked out of my bedroom and into the main room. Books lined the walls, barely visibly in the dimly lit room. I was trying my hardest to be quiet, to not wake the boys. But, it is difficult because you can loudly hear each of my footsteps. You could hear a pin drop in this silence, it's ridiculous.

"Ellie?" I heard a voice, "Ellie why're you still up?"

The voice took me by surprise but I knew it was Sam. Why would he be up so late?

"I can't sleep, I guess. Usually I just sleep when my body feels the need to," I tell him, "Why're you still up?"

"I can't sleep, either," Sam replied, "Too much thinking."

I laughed, "I decided to look around some, five years really does make you forget the way home feels." Sam walking into sight and I smiled, relieved. "Hi, Sammy."

He smiled back, "Hello, Ellie."

I nodded towards him and then looked at the books that lined the walls, a lot of them were "educational" for a hunter, but then I saw the section of fairy tales. Probably for research purposes, but I had read them for fun.

"So, about Hell. Is it really a complete mystery as to how you got out?" Sam asked, "I mean it's just weird, for you to show up out of no where unknowingly. And for Crowley to give you up for no reason."

"I know," I laughed, "Trust me, I know. But I really don't know, nor do I want to talk about it. It's all you Winchester boys seem to care about and it's really bugging me out. I'm out, I'm me, and that's all we have. That's all we have to work with."

He didn't say anything as he stood next to me, eyes scanning the lines of books as well, "I understand."

Neither of us continued the conversation after that. Maybe we had things to talk about, but we didn't want to talk about it. I don't think I wanted to, anyway.

"When do I get to go out on a hunt?" I ask, "I've been itching for it. I miss it."

Sam laughed, "I think Dean wants to head out in a couple days."

I smiled, this made me extremely happy. I missed hunting. There was a certain satisfaction that came with killing monsters. Though, sometimes, when I'd kill a demon...it felt like I was killing a little bit of myself, too.
