Elliot

All of us were sitting in the living room when Dean came rushing in, telling us he had found an emergency as we needed to leave as soon as possible. Sam told Jack to go and gather weapons from the armory, and then went to go pack a bag for the rest of us. I got in the Impala.

-

When Dean said "emergency", I thought he was serious. These days, emergencies must mean that his all-time favorite stripper was in the next state over and one "lucky" man would get the night with her. Part of me hopes she's a witch or something, but part of me wants Dean to have this moment and to be happy.

"I don't understand," Castiel spoke, "Why does Dean find this appealing?"

"Sex appeal, my friend," I laughed, "It's all about lust."

Castiel, of course, didn't understand that. But it's okay. Cas had never really understood a lot of the things Dean says. It's kind of cute sometimes, but there's always the speck of annoyance that it brings having to explain everything to him all the time. But I love him, I really do.

Being sat in the back of the Impala for hours wasn't really my cup of tea, but it brought back memories. There have been so many fights and tears and laughs in the back of this car.

I remember the last argument we had in the Impala, few days before I went to hell. Dean got mad about something Sammy had said, and then got angry with me because I defended Sam. He was mad at me for days afterwards and was actually giving me the silent treatment. It was a wild time. Being ignored by Dean is like being ignored by a three year old.

Sammy and I also had more than a few wild nights in the Impala's back seat, but Dean doesn't know about those. And he probably won't ever. Dean would have a fit if he knew the things Sammy and I used to do in the Impala - or just what we used to do in general. Dean knows a lot of things but he doesn't know those things, and he never will.

-

Hours later, I was finally able to stand and walk around. My least favorite part of travelling was always being stuck forever in that car. Before Cas, I was always would lay in the backseat and sleep the entire time. Sammy would read to me, or I would just listen to Dean singing along to the radio.

Dean parked Baby in a hotel parking lot and glanced back at me, "You get your own room."

I rolled my eyes, "Because you don't trust me, or because you don't want your brother and I to be alone?"

"Same old sass as always, never missed that," Dean muttered under his breath, "I'm putting you in your own room so you can have space. I just thought you'd want some."

"I've had space for five years," I laughed a little, "But it's okay. I'm fine with being alone."

Before anyone could say anything else, I was out of the car and up at the front desk, requesting a room for one.
