Chapter 1

Father! father were are you?Marynel ask wondering around the palace garden searching for his father.

Marynel!....dear what are you doing here all alone?Queen Alanna ask Marynel kneeling on her knees to place a kiss on her forehead. Then she smiles at her warmly.

Marynel step back and bow her head as a sign of respect."Your grace I'm terribly sorry if I interrupt some important things at hand." She said fiddling with her finger.

Oh! don't worry too much dear,you did no harm."Come now dear,what is it that you are looking for?"Is there anything I could do to help?

I....I'm looking for my father your grace, to show him the tapestry that I made for him,the little girl said grinning shyly pulling the tapestry that she hide at her back to show it to the queen proudly.

"Oh its beautiful!you made this all by yourself?The queen ask eyeing her,caressing her cheek then looking back at the tapestry admiring it.

The young lass shook her head,no your grace......I did not do it by my self.Nana Mildred thought me how to sew it,she spoke honestly.

"I see,she thought you well and your a fast learner for a very young age,it's quite exceptional."Come along dear your father is with the King discussing the Kingdoms matter at the moment.The queen heave herself up dusting invisible dirt off her gown,offering her hand to the young lass.

Marynel gladly took it intertwining her little hands with her big ones and walk with the Queen's side.

As they reach the council room of the Palace Marynel run toward her father.Hugging him as she bump on his lower torso.Father I made this for you,she said handing him the tapestry,smiling sweetly at him.

"Thank you my precious little Aryie!..." his father said calling her by a pet name he usually use. Gazing upon her precious little daughter filled with joy and love as he hug her back.Your getting heavy my beloved daughter,he chuckle as he scoop her up with his strong arms.He put on a kiss on top of her hair as she lean on his broad shoulder. Marynel giggle in response.

The father and daughter spend there few minutes together.Taking her for a walk as their daily habit to bond as he finished his work for the day.He make it a point that he showered her with love and affection. She is the only thing he have in his life now,after her wife died.Marynel is his precious beloved daughter,when it comes to her well being he becomes very protective and territorial.He swore that as long as he lives he will protect her with his life.

One night before Diner......

As same as always Marynel came to the council hall to look for his father,to remind him that lunch is ready and he should not skip it.When she heard his father yelled at someone. Curiosity takes the best of her,she took a peak and saw a terrifying creature attacking his father. In fear she hid herself in the near scroll cabinet.She clasp her hands in her mouth to prevent her sob from coming out.Tears spilled out of her eyes,she is so frightened her face is covered with sweat trembling. Failing herself from coming out of her hiding place when the creature disappear. She went to his fathers side doubting herself if she could get near his father's side in the state he is in.

Father can you hear me?She ask in a shaky voice fiddling with her little finger looking down on the floor.She keep her distance between them so that she can run if ever he try something to harm her.She is fully aware that the man that stood before her is no longer his beloved father,but another man with atrocious desire to harm the entire kingdom.But being a child she is,She hope that if he see's her he would recognize her as his precious daughter.That he could fought his way out of the spell that is cast upon him.For her and for the sake of the Kingdom.But she failed, for he just look at her with no trace of recognition. His countenance dark,void of emotion he walk past her as if she is not there at all.
