Chapter 7

Dave's POV

Few minutes after I left Marynel inside the cave She went out with Gus sitting on her shoulder.

Dave!...ah...I was hoping if we could take a walk in the forest to talk.Can we?Marynel ask in hesitation as she twist her hands together.

Sure! I responded offering my hands to her,we walk in silence until Marynel decided to break it.Dave what you saw back there,its my gift since I was a child.My mother she is born with it too,I wield the power of water and fauna.I can tame animals and communicate with them and gave them a gift of tongue to spoke.

I stop walking and face her, bedazzled for the revelation she is doing right now.Ok!...whoa!....this thing,I mean Gus his not the only one who can talk.What else?....I mean do you still have any animal friends aside from him.I ask still mystified for all the new things,that I am yet to discover about mate.She's totally awesome! my pack would love to have her as their Luna.I told my self as I wait for her to talk.Excited for her answer looking like a kid who is about to get his treat for being a good boy.

I have many of them but, well I usually have,Rouche she is a red owl,and Orin and he is a golden snake and.Oh! ...Gus is my favorate don't tell the others she giggle,then she resume talking.

When I was held with in the walls of Aelven Palace,they were the one who keep me accompany.I got all the information from outside the walls through them.She said her smile fading as she once again remember how painful her past is.

Hey!don't be sad,I'm here now,no one will ever hurt you again,I promise!

She nodded and gave me a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.We resume walking and talk several things about her.Then I also told her about me,we spent an hour walking around and talking about each other.It seems like we were starting to get to know each other and I'm quite hopeful that its a good start.

The Night at the Palace

As the night comes everyone were all gathered at the huge hall of the palace.Tonight is the night the war will be declared. I along with my mate and my wolf warriors stood together on the same ground.Listening to Princess Irish words as she glows like a beacon of light for she has already receive her immortal shell,as she finish talking I order the wolf to shift and go for a run.I left Marynel in Lana's care for a while.As we made our run to the edge of the cliff facing the direction of Aelven Palace under the bright full moon. I let out a loud howl calling out to the Moon goddess to seek guidance and strength as we go to war and to gave thank to her for giving me such a beautiful and kind hearted mate.My third in command and the others did the same howling in unison head tilt upward facing the full moon.

As we head back to the Palace my third in command talk to me in our mind like.

Alpha! what is your plan after this war,is the Luna coming to live with us in the pack house?He ask looking at me in a wolf form,tongue hang low at the side of his muzzle panting.

I have to talk to her first,I dont want to scare her away.Ned did Beta Tobie told you anything about the pack house?Any reports for their status back there.I've been distracted this past days.I failed to communicate with him.I ask him

Oh nothing Alpha their fine,everything is in order back there.But your mother is very worried about you.She is always asking why is it that she can't go through you. She's very furious Alpha! I think you should talk to her.Ned said cringing at the mention of my mothers name.

Urghh mom!...I'm so fuck up..Is she that mad?

Ned's wolf just nodded in response,as he looks so scared.

Damn.....why is it that all the wolf in the pack house even dad were so damn scared with that woman.Considering she is of small frame,but oh!.... so fiesty!But everybody loves and respect her for being a good Luna.Minus the laddle hitting thing she does when any of the wolves misbehave.

I heave a deep sigh as I lower my mental walls to communicate with mom.Here we go brace your self you can do this,I told my self.

As soon as I lower my mental barrier,mom fired me with so many question's

Dave Fletcher Anderson!!!...you better give me a good reason why were you blocking me for so many day from now?She said so mad that she called me in my full name.

"Oh!....how I hate it when she yelled at me like that even in the mind link."Head hurt! She keeps on treating me like a kid.I whine scratching my ears with my big paws.

Hey! mom I miss you too......sorry its just that I was so preoccupied this past few days.I feel so distracted and uneasy. Didn't expect to find my mate in here...mom....you still there?I ask as I hear her silent.

Then she started squealing,Oh my bumblebee finally find his mate.Your dad will be so happy to hear about it.

Mom!....geez!!!stop calling me that,Im not a kid anymore!I said whining.

Ned snorted and laugh which didn't sound good,as he sounds like a laughing hyena. I head butt him to stop him from laughing at me.

Shut up Ned!I told him as he fell on the ground twitching like and idiot still laughing.I throw some dirt on him and give him a look that tells him to shut up or else I'll strangle him.

Ah!....mom I need to get going ok,I'll talk to you as soon at we head back to the Palace.

Wait can you at least show me what she looks like.Mom ask,

Ok mom! I responded and close my eyes as I picture what Marynel looks like in my head for her to see my mate.

That's it mom! her name is Marynel,she is kind you'll love her once you meet her but for now I've got to go.I hurriedly told her then I cut our link before she could ask another question again.

I signal the wolves to head back to the palace as I dash out through the forest, trugding down back to the Palace to be with my mate again.
