Chapter 6

At Aegen Palace.......

Dave's POV

We arrive at Duke Titus Palace mid afternoon at the fifth day after the unexpected bloodied battle at Aelven.There was no time to rest as we set foot on his land he summons us for a meeting at the Council Hall.For we need to plan our next move due to the failed attempt to have a truce.To establish between the Princess and The King of Aelven.Now we are at the verge of war,everything is at high risk.The Armies of the King is far more greater than our number.We have to plan this whole thing out properly.Layout of maps has been laid,the strategies of war has been plan.We will be divided into three groups.King Alexander and Duke Titus will take the East carrying with them some of the shifters, to act as a spy at the north corner of Aelvens territory,He will act as the strongest link of the three group for he will wire all the information that will be gathered around the Aelvens territory.Their attack at the east will only serve as a decoy, a ruse to distract. Darius and Tristan,while Knight along with Irish will take the South,their attack is for intimidation purposes,to make them believe that the real plan is to surround them and attack all of them with one blow.But the trick has to be done to make things work out on our side.

As for me I was assign along with Mikhail to take all the people of Aelven to safety.Evacuations must be done to avoid huge number of casualties.We will be taking them to Northeast part of the Fea Land.To shelter them behind the Walls of Candour were Duke Anais are said to received us.

As the meeting ends I took my liberty to look for my mate.I told her to stay at the garden and wait for me.But when I return she was no longer there,I wonder were she could be a this hour.

Looking around and sniffing the air I caught a faint scent of my mate.I followed it till it leads me at the back of the Palace.I frowned confused as to what is she be doing in this kind of place.I step on the water as I smell her scent getting stronger leading me inside of a cave.As I went inside of the cave the water has already reach below my knee.I move further and there I saw a illuminating light spreading around the cave.As she stood in the middle of the cave water creeping all over her almost naked body.Healing every wounds she have left, as she chanted a spell,waters continue to course through her like it has a mind of its own.Covering every wound and as it leave her wounded skin, the wound vanished along with it.I stood there daze and mystify for what I saw.As she was oblivious of my presence, watching everything that she is doing.Then all of a sudden one little white ferret bit my leg with out warning.I yelp in pain as its teeth digs deeper to my flesh,wiggling its head hissing.Marynel quickly look around as she heard the commotion.

Arghh!what the hell!I grab the ferret at the back of its neck looking at it with a grimace expression.Then all of a sudden it started thrashing and hissing.And what shock me  most is it fucking started talking!!!In shock I throw it in the air.

"What the devil are you?You didn't just fucking talk right I must be dreaming!Oh crap!......Am I loosing my sanity?....I ask pointing a finger at it.

But it ignored me and run to were Marynel were standing startled for she did not expect me to be there.

Marynel stay away from that creature I saw him piping while you were bathing.The ferret told Marynel then he cross his little arms tapping his foot eyeing me with raised brow,as it stood at Marynels palm.

Hell no!I'm not,I was looking for her....and excuse me but that little devil bit me first.That's why I threw him.I told Marynel.

Marynel giggle in response for our childish banter and told the little ferret that I was her mate.

The little ferret just form an O shape with its mouth as his reaction to what Marynel have told her.

"O really!I said in a mock tone mimicking his reaction.

"So fur ball!.... can I get near to my mate now since she already explain to you who I was!!..I ask eyeing it with dislike.Hell it bit me...and it fucking hurt!I told myself.

The name is Gus! Not fur ball and sorry for biting you.I thought you are a bad person.And my I ask you speak in an odd manner are you form a different world?He ask,scratching his chin.

Yes! Im from a human world and I'm a werewolf.I told Gus crossing my arm in the middle of my chest.So I strongly suggested for you not ever to bit me again."Because if you do!I swear I'll eat you alive."Even if you are not in the list of my diet.

Gus look at me mouth gap open in shock.

Nah! Just kidding!....gotcha pal!I told him then I laugh so hard till my stomach ache and tears fell down in my eyes while he looks at me fuming.

Uh!....Dave I need you to turn around,please.....Marynel said feeling uncomfortable all of a sudden.

Hu? why is there something wrong again?I ask confused wiping my tears away.

Then Gus gesture his hand towards Marynel closing his eye.

Oh!....I ...ah Sorry! Forgave me of course!....I'll wait for you outside,I said awkwardly as it dawn to me that she still got no clothes on her to cover her body.
