Dave's POV

As I stood up groaning in pain,I dusted my self and neared Marynel.

How did you know that thing should be trusted?I ask her pointing my finger towards the winged horse in front of us,with a grimace.As I look at it with hate,damn that thing!....It kick like a bitch!....I told my self,glowering at the horse.

Marynel look at me and spoke as she saw me glowering at it and have an idea of what's running in my head.

He said he is sorry!.... for the harm he had caused you.His just trying to protect himself from you.

Oh really!....why need you to apologize for him while he could do it him self!....I told her stomping my feet like a six years old kid sulking for not having my chance to gave him a piece of me.

Arrogant mutt!the beast murmured neighing as he shook his head.

What did you just said!....why you good for nothing piece of.....

I failed to finish what I have to said as Marynel intercept.

Stop it both of you!Marynel's yelled at us,to stop us from giving a piece of our mind for each other.

Can both of you just make amends so that we could resume our travel to look for some place safe to rest.Is that even possible?She ask looking at us hands on her waist with her brow raised.

Fine!....apology accepted!I responded grouchily, forcing every word out of my mouth.

And the beast just nodded his head towards me.

As we made amends Marynel ask me to assist her to climb on top of the beast.We resumed our travel with her leading us to the place were the horse is pertaining to.For us to took shelter and keep our self safe from the harsh winds and hailstorm.We only survive to stand the storm due to the help of the witches who manage to create a shield to stop the solid rocky ice frost from hitting us.But they were not that powerful enough to withstand the storm that long enough.We must find a shelter soon before the witches lost all their remaining strength.

There!....Mikhail pointed his finger at the caves as he saw it from afar.Using both our sharp eye and night vision we guide all of them to the place were the horse told us to go to.

We should stay here, till the storm calmed down,take your rest everyone we will be needing it for tomorrow.I told them as I stood on top of a huge boulder for everyone to see me and hear what I have to say to fill them with instructions.

While at rest we walk around to see if everyone is in good shape..Marynel healed the wounded and injured.Lana and Mikhail do the distribution of unleavened bread to eat.While I made a run along with the wolves to check the perimeter.And make sure that no harm has followed us here.

The wildings who happen to endure the coldness of the cold weather as they were used to it for living in this land for so long. They volunteered to go out to guard the entrance of the cave.

At the gates of Anais Land......

Early in the morning as the hailstorm finally calmed down,we traveled on a long gravelled trail of snowy valley enduring the cold.Passing through the forest of tall centuries old trees.We have set foot on the territory of Candour.Walking on a cobbled stone pathway leading to the Palace of Anais.

Marynel went down of the black horned horse,looking happy to finally made it here.

You could have waited for me to help you get down!....You might end up hurting your self if you slip down in a wrong foot.I grumbled as I got near her.

Sorry!.....she said as she bit her lips looking down at the ground.

Hey!....I'm just worried,I'm not mad at you don't have to feel bad about it.I told her raking my hair,giving her a warm smile.

She whip her head up, smiling sweetly at me causing my breath to hitch.

And that's when someone interrupt ruining our moments.

Welcome to my land please do come in so that you could all take your rest.A man with pale glassy green eyes spoke.As his eyes were set on my mates direction.

I grab Marynel by the waist and pull her near me so that he could see that the one he is eyeing at is mine.

I let out a low growl to caught his attention.

Anais just gave me a calculated smile that made me clenched my fist.As I send him a death glare.

Mikhail sensing the forming silent war between us,walks to Anais to break the tension between us.

Thank you for accepting us here in your palace,Anais I suppose!....Mikhail said offering his hand to shake with him.Anais gladly took it and smiled back at Mikhail.Throwing a quick glance at Marynel before he turn around and walk inside the palace.Gesturing us all to follow him.

Oh not again!Lana said as she neared me holding on my shoulder.Pulling me away from Marynel in a far distance to talk to me privately.

Your jealous with that hunk are you?Lana ask with a smirk.

Oh!I'm so getting their I growled frustratingly as I try to burn hole at Anais back glaring at him.

Believe me I'm trying to hold my ass in place.I want to make my self believe that I wasn't jealous at all.

Yeah!...I can see that keep convincing your self that you can do that.And tell me when you actually made it,She said then she sauntered off.

Oh!....woman,why cant she gave me a proper advice than talk with we in riddle,I grumbe to my self.

As soon as we have our assigned room I leave Marynel in Lana's care to have a time alone for my self.

I entered the room alone hastily with my heart pounding in my ears.Not again,that I would attack someone for something I'm unsure of.Nonetheless my thoughts were right,Anais would be in deep trouble if he tries to stole my mate from me.I'll show him that I am not a man to be trifled with.

I heave a deep sigh,to calm my self,reminding my self that I'm a grown man now and an Alpha of Crescent Moon Pack.I don't need to feel intimidated by that impressive figure like Anais.And I know that Marynel loves me too,I should not be feeling this way.

I stop pacing as I feel Marynel's presence.

Is there something wrong?she ask holding on to my shoulder oblivious of the fact that I was again feeling jealous this time not of Titus but by another Duke named Anais.

Nothing!....I'm fine....just thinking about something.I told her as I averted my gaze from her.

I know that you were jealous of Anais,she said biting her lower lips taking a hesitant step to get more closer to me.

I froze as she snake her hands around my waist and lean her head on my chest.

Please don't feel that way,it make's me feel bad for seeing you like that.I don't like Anais and no matter what he do,he can't take me away from you.I Marynel of Aelven is accepting Dave as my mate,I'm all yours.She said while hugging me tightly.

My heart is swelling with joy as the jealously I felt thawed like a snow.

Her assurance fades away my fear of loosing her.

How did you know that I was jealous of that arrogant duke?I ask out of nowhere.

Lana told me she said smiling sheepishly at me.

I guess I should be thanking her hu?....I told Marynel with a wink.

You should!...she's been a lot of help for the both of us.She is quite bold with her usage of words but I grow fond of her.She really is a good friend to keep near around us.

Yeah!a good friend that is quite a handful to handle some times. I told her.
