Mitch

"H-hello..." I nearly broke down at the sound of his voice.
I screamed his name but Travis clasped a hand over my mouth muffling everything else that I yelled.
"Mitch!?! Mitch!" I heard his cry
"Hello, Scotty..." Travis said with a maniacal smile
Nonononono....
"Is Mitch okay...?" He asked his voice thick and shaky.
"He is fine... For now..." Travis said smiling at me before continuing
"So Scotty... A little birdie told my you are trying to take my Mitchie from me."
Please God no... Don't do this to him.
"I- I didn't mean to..." Scott stuttered
"I don't like liars Scott..." He said. He let go of my mouth and punched me hard. I screamed and fell to the ground. He kicked me over and over again and I just screamed in pain.
"NO! PLEASE DONT HURT HIM!!!! PLEASE!" I could hear Scott cry through the phone.
"Don't make me angry Scott... Or I will send Mitch back to you... In pieces."
I held back sobs. I don't want to die.
"Anything else you want to say, Mitchell?" He asked me.
I shook my head and mouthed no.
He held the gun to my head and I held back sobs as I said...
"You promised, Scott..."
I heard Scott crying as Travis hung up the phone.
I fell to the ground defeated.
Travis kicked me again and pulled me up.
He drug me over to where the chains hung from the wall.
I didn't even bother to fight. I hurt Scott... The one person who loved me...
He chained both my arms to the wall and left. I hung my head in defeat.
I was sitting on my knees on the cold concrete.
I started sobbing when I remembered something Scott told me.
"You just have to sing your way through life"
I started to sing through my tears.
"If there's a God out there
Please hear my prayer
I'm lost and I'm scared
And I've got no where else to go
I've come a long long way
But I'm not sure I can make it much farther."

Scott

I sobbed and sobbed.
He is right... I promised him and I broke that promise.
"Scott!" I heard Kevin yell.
I felt multiple pairs of arms around me.
"What happened Scott?"
"Are you okay?"
"Did they find Mitch?"
I took deep breaths to slow the tears.
"He called me... He said something about me trying to take his Mitch away and then when I said it was an accident he beat Mitch... I heard it..." I broke down again. "I heard Mitch screaming for help and crying." Then I realized something...
"Mitch got hurt because of me... I promised to protect him and then I'm the reason he gets hurt..." I said crying.
"No! Scott! This isn't your fault. He would have hurt Mitch no matter what, he is trying to get into your head." Avi said.
I sobbed. I will never be able to get the sound out of my head.
Why Mitch!? What did he do to deserve this?
"If I-" I started but was caught off by Esther.
"Enough of the what ifs Scott! We don't know what would have happened but we can't change that now! We need to focus on saving Mitch."
I wiped my eyes. She was right, as always.
"Okay. Let's go to the police and get them to track the number." She said, lending me a hand so I could stand up.

The drive to the police station was fairly uneventful.
"Hello. We have some news on the Grassi case." Esther said, sounding very professional.
She lead us to her office.
"So, what do you have?" She asked us sitting down and taking a sip of coffee.
"We got a call from the man who has Mitch. He got angry at Scott and beat Mitch, making Scott listen. We have the number right here." Esther said asking for my phone before handing it over.
She pressed a number on her phone.
"Please send back Abby."
A few moments later a small girl walked in.
"I need you to find where this number came from." She said handing the girl the phone.
She turned to us. "You guys are welcome to leave. We will call you when we get a lead."

Mitch

"Wake up you ugly f***!" Travis said kicking me. I pulled myself off the cold floor and tried to hug myself for warmth but realized I was still chained to the wall, not allowing me enough freedom.
He unlocked the chains and unhooked them from the wall.
"We're leaving." He said, and I was a small bit excited. Maybe he'll take me home. "We are going to move every 3 days." My heart sank... Scott will never find me.
"I assume Scott's already told the police about our little call. Let's leave them a gift for Scott shall we?"
"Haven't you done enough?" I hissed weakly.
He laughed maniacally.
"I think he needs to learn a lesson. He shouldn't take other people's things."
He kicked me to the floor so I was on my back.
I tried to get up but he put his foot firmly on my shoulder.
"Let's take a little trip down memory lane, why don't we?" He asked, unhooking the chain from the wall.
"Count." He said and he hit me, the cold metal colliding and immediately drawing blood.

He finished about 30 excruciating minutes later. I woke up after blacking out to find my back wrapped. I was tied to the chair.
He was in the room setting something on the floor. I looked closely and saw the bloody chain and a photo of me passed out, bloody marks completely covering my back.
"Please don't do this to him... It's my fault... I kissed him..." I said.
He walked over and growled before slamming my head into the wall until I passed out. When I woke up I was in a different room... I hope Scott finds me soon.
