** Karen's P.O.V**

I sit in the waiting room along with the other college kids. We all have our specific time to be interviewed and mine was exactly at 1:00. Its now 1:10 and I'm starting to get impatient.

I decided to text Amika but she seems to be too busy to answer. I needed someone to let all my anger out on so I decided to tell her about Charles and how he been M.I.A.

She hasn't answered but I know as soon as she reads it, she'll be at my house with chocolate, ice cream, and a shoulder to cry on.

Even though I have no reason to cry.

My stomach starts to cart wheels when I see the receptionist stand.

"Ms. Rose?"

I sigh. I'm here right on time but he the one thats late. I shake my head.

Just perfect.

I look around the room for any familiar faces and I see Brandon walk through the door. This nigga.

He holds the door for the next person walking in and I nearly fall from my seat at the sight of the person.

He dressed in a gray and white suit. Curly black hair sits on his head, messy but type presentable at the same time.

I know him. I seen him from some where.

He walks along side Brandon until he reaches the receptionist. They have a few words and Brandon heads the other way.

Look at me!!

I know this guy! I just can't...

And then he does.

Our eyes meet and my jaw drops.

"Karen?" He looks at me like he's uncertain and walks over. I slowly stand to my feet.

"Austin?"

He makes his way towards me until we're face to face. Everyone eyes are on us and I don't care.

"How...?" I ask but stops.

He just stares at me.

Slowly a smile comes to my face and I laugh. He smiles. Opening my arms, I embrace him.

His hand lays on my lower back as he hugs me back. "I thought I'd never see you again," he says as we pull apart. "You look great."

I smile at his comment. "Thank you. You always looked your best."

He smiles. "Had to. You knew how my parents were."

My Dad and his mom were friends when I was in high school and because of them we me each other. He would always wear fresh new clothes and I would wear jeans and a plain T-shirt. Our first time meeting was at my house and my Dad called them over. Of course he didn't tell me about them so when I walked down the stairs in basket ball shorts, a tank top, and a basket ball, I was lost and part angry. That time I was dating Charles and I already mentioned my Dad hatred of him. So when they came over one night, both our Parents agreed for us to get into a relationship.

I turned them and him down after I told them about Charles and how much I loved him. My Dad face was nothing compared to Austin's. He developed feelings and I started to but I couldn't do that to Charles.

"Yeah," I said rubbing my arm. "Both of our Parents were on the strict side."

"I'm surprised we both survived."

I laugh and he joins in. Ew I hate my laugh.

I stop laughing and he clears his throat. "Your here for the interview right?"

"Uh yeah. It was supposed to be at 1:00 sharp but apparently he decided to stop for breakfast first."

He laughs and I smile.

Why am I so corny?

He looks around. "I'll take you to my office until he shows. Its better than sitting out here."

"OK," I said with a smile.
