**Amika's P.O.V**
I grab onto Xavier's hand as we walk around the Manhattan Mall. Karen walks ahead of us so she don't see him shove me to the side. I bump into a lady and apologizes before I shove him back.
His arms wrap around my shoulders and squeezes. "You know you don't have to go shopping for anything right now, right?"
I look up at him. "Yes we do. The beds are already in our houses but we still need blankets, pillows, food...."
"You two are living together?" He ask.
"Of course." We follow Karen inside Macy's. "That was our plan. We live in another two family house."He doesn't say anything and we continue to walk.
We spend the rest of the day going around buying things. Xavier hadn't said much the whole time and I don't acknowledge it. Me and Karen was waiting for this day for the longest. We both are away from our Parents and can do what ever we want. We had a little problem keeping in touch for a few days but now we're together.
Why did that sound gay?
We walk inside Dominos Pizza store and Xavier walks up to the counter. Karen and I take our seats at a table and wait.
"You know," Karen starts. "I think he likes you." She winks at me and I roll my eyes.
"No shit Sherlocks."
She smiles. "You grow up so fast." She pretends to wipe away a tear. "I remember when you was just a little girl. Those were the days."
"Shut the fuck up," I laugh. We both turn to look at Xavier standing at the counter. "I think he wants me to move in with him."
Karen spins around and looks at me. "What!? Why!? I mean... You guys just got together."
I shrug. "I don't know... He never said it himself but while we was going shopping, it was like he didn't want me to go shopping." She stares at me confused and I sigh. "I could he wrong."
"Yeah. You could," she says looking down at the table now.
We don't speak for a while and he makes his way over to us. He picks the seat next to me and drapes his arm around me. His lips presses against my cheek and Karen looks away.
"I invited someone if you guys don't mind," he says.
"Who?" I ask, trying to sound enthusiastic. "Better not be no bitch."
He laughs. "No. Karen knows him. He been dying to see her again."
Karen looks at him and they stare at each other. Uncomfortable with this tension, I wave my hand in front of them.
"Who is it?" I ask again. "If Karen knows him then I should know him."
I look at Karen but her eyes are fixed on the door. Xavier looks behind him at the door and so do I.
A tall, light skinned guy walks in, snow staining his winter coat and pants. His eyes looks around the store before landing on our table.
Beside me Xavier stands. "Glad you can make it Austin. We was expecting you."
The guy barely looks at Xavier but behind me at Karen; her eyes returning his stare.
